The food was good and the drinks were amazing. The server was very friendly and attentive and they also gave us a 10% discount because we had went on a cruise with the Sea Screamer. I would recommend!

We had a late lunch here after a dolphin cruise on the Sea Screamer. The big guy that seated us wasn't very friendly but the waiter was nice and the food was very good.

Wife and I both had po' boys which were good. Bacon wrapped Scallop appetizer was not good. The bacon was limp and the scallops were kind of mushy. We would probably try other restaurants in the area before going back.

While vacationing at Ocean Isle Beach, NC, my wife and I decided to eat lunch at a spot in Little River, SC where her parents had taken her when she was young. Captain Juel's location and surroundings reminded me of places we had visited in Pawley's Island. There are tall pines and Live Oak trees with Spanish Moss all over... More

This is the second time we've eaten at Captain Juel's Hurricane in Little River, SC. What made the place special? The grouper bites appetizer and coconut shrimp. On both visits the food was the good fried seafood you expect on the coast. Good value. Good food. Good waterfront view.

Excellent food. Portions are too small. I ordered fish and grits and was amazed at the small portion of grits that came with the meal. Grits were not hot either. Come on. You can afford more grits. Probably one cup of grits was served. Not enough to eat with 2 pieces of fish. Service was excellent.

Great little place on the river. The food was excellent -- I have their famous seafood stew. We came between lunch and dinner so the place was quiet and we received good attentive service. If you are looking for an alternative to the main strip dining options, consider driving out a little further for an authentic fishing town eating spot.

There isnt a bad seat in the house..oh and the hummingbird cake is amazing. ..if you like fresh homemade food..this is the place.... More

We have been going to Captain Juel's for over thirty years - in fact we wrote a glowing review of it in 2011 - but after eating there this past weekend, we have changed our minds. As well as additional neon signage outside, the restaurant added a sushi bar over the winter, which we guess some people appreciate, but we... More

Si sorry to hear of your bad experience with us . Would love to know the date you came, and the name of your server that evening, our dishes should always be served with your choice side. And as for the preparation of your shrimp I sincerely apologies. Would greatly appreciated another try and please asked for Heidi. More
