In the mid 1900's a new chapter of history was made in a small town in Little River S.C. At that time a restaurant was opened in the very banks of the Intercoastal Waterway, called Capt. Juel's Hurricane. In the mid 70's the restaurant was brought by Joe Robertson, who still owns it today. You will still find Mr. Joe in and around the kitchen and his wife Deanna behind the bar mixing up killer drinks or in the kitchen preparing the luscious desserts. The restaurant is managed by their daughter Heidi and her husband Clayton, it truly is a family affair. In 2014 the place under went a total renovation inside and out. The restaurant now features a new Sushi Bar, that's a must have over looking the untouched marshlands. Capt. Juel's stills brings you the freshest seafood, hand cut steaks and chops. The menu is filled with a variety of choices from tacos to burgers. Or maybe just stop by the have a drink on the deck and enjoy seeing the fishing boats bring in the catch of the day.

Sit back, relax, enjoy

Fantastic place to sit back, relax, and enjoy a meal. The Hushpuppies were "dabomb". OMG!!! The staff was outstanding. We had 3 toddlers and they still liked us ; ) OVerall food quality was above average to pretty good. Prices were good. Take a walk and enjoy the boats and atmosphere.

Much larger place than I expected, right on the water with outdoor patio. There were about nine people and we were sat right away. Service was efficient and our waiter, Clayton, was personable. Various orders were placed and no complaints were uttered. We had the Fish Nuggets and Shrimp Taco. Would definitely come back again.

We had dinner and drinks and were very pleased. It was quiet on the Tuesday night we went but the sushi was fresh and tasty. We have oysters.... Yummy although they were coated with salt----why? The sushi rolls we had were delicious -----different than the fried seafood in most other local places .

Fantastic restaurant on the water. I had the shrimp and grits and it was very flavorful and creamy. I will be going back!

Service was lacking. Took more than an hour to get our food and everyone around us was being served even if they were seated after us. We had 4 small kids with us so that was not a good start. If food was decent then it would have redeemed this mistake but food was overcooked and not even average. Didn't... More

My wife's family returns to N Myrtle Beach every two years for a week's stay. We mostly make our own meals but go out to dinner one night. We have been to several places over the years but have lately settled on Capt Juel's and may never change going forward. Very good seafood.

It was our first experience eating at Capt.Juel's but not our last. We have a time-share in Myrtle Beach, SC & we try to look for different place for seafood. The prices were real good & the food was great. The attmosphere is fun with great music. Service is friendly & good.

We are locals, and we dine at Capt Juel's Hurricane at least once a week. This family owned business is the best. The food is AMAZING - incredible seafood, steaks, sushi, and appetizers. Deanna and Joe, the owners, are so very special. Deanna's homemade daily desserts are sinful. My husband and I have travelled all over the world and there... More

We went there July 18th after reading the reviews but found it was just 'another restaurant serving fried seafood' - nothing out of the ordinary. Four ladies on a weekend away! The place is older, service was ok. Would we go back - probably not. Stopped by the Irish pub next door for a drink and think we'll try that... More
