Like a previous reviewer stated it's more for pick-up / take-out. The food (we had BBQ pork sandwiches) was good and we will definitely come back for pick-up / take-out but probably won't eat there again. The staff was super nice. The cole slaw is a little different that traditional southern slaw but I liked it. It was kind of... More

First of all, be aware that this is mostly a take out place. There are 3 café tables, only room for 2 at each, and one small regular table which might seat 3. I had the smoked chicken sandwich, just OK although the mustard sauce was wonderful. Baked beans were above average, but the cole sale had green peppers in... More

when the spare ribs are right they are about as good as it gets anywhere. Tender. Juicy. Barky on the outside. A little peppery. Marrow trying to squeeze out the end of the bone. About 20% of the time they are tough, gray and flavorless. It hurts the pocketbook when you buy 2 or 3 lbs ($30) and you drive... More

I actually was going to the restaurant next door but they were closed. As we were leaving, we smelled the food from Belly's and went in. The owners were great! The food at Belly's is delicious! My kids love it and so do I. I had the ribs, which are a must have. Next time I'm in SC, I will... More

Heading to Virginia from Florida my son and I decided to look into BBQ restaurants along the way and found 100 best BBQ restaurants in South Carolina. Or, I'd drive 100 miles for this BBQ. Well, I wouldn't drive 100 miles for it but it was pretty good. The ribs were tasty though a touch over rubbed. The brisket excellent.... More

True pulled pork by hand, not frozen. Everything is simply delicious - from BBQ sandwich to chicken bog (seasonal) to fish. Hush puppies are to die for. Red sauce is the best and not mass produced or found in stores. Our favorite BBQ joint around. Mouth is watering thinking about it!

Outstanding little bbq joint that's worth the trip from the Columbia area. One note: it's only open as a restaurant on Fridays and Saturdays and you need to pre-order the brisket if you're not showing up early on Friday - they WILL run out. The side of hash seems like a heart attack in waiting but after tasting it, you'll... More

We found this by accident and decided to try it for lunch. Extremely good pork sandwich. Also tried one of thir ribs, and it was perfect. Falling off the bone tender and cooked to perfection. Small place with just a few tables but WELL worth a visit. We will definitely be back!!!

Located directly across the street from Lexington High School on Highway 1, Belly's Southern Pride BBQ is owned and operated by Tommy Shealy (whose nickname inspires the restaurant's name) owns and operates this excellent take-out barbeque restaurant with his family, including wife Gloria and brother Richard.
