Always Good

Just plain country cooking at its best and best of all, it is not expensive and fast. If you are in a hurry, then this is the place to go either for Lunch or Dinner as we have found it clean, comfortable and good food.

I'vertical-align never had a bad meal or experience at the Thicket. It's Wednesday and I'vertical-align already been twice. Sometimes, you just want good food. Not fast food, not fancy (and pricey) "fine dining" or niche eateries. Meats, vegetables and desserts. All home style, all wonderfully prepared and all make for a meal that satisfies the appetite and he wallet.

Cold food is never good, having to wait for cold food is worse, having to wait for cold food when the Restaurant is not busy....as they say is priceless. Wait staff... please note, If my tea glass is empty, it's time to fill it up, If I ask for steak sauce, I'd prefer to get it before I eat all... More

In town for the DYB World Series and looking for someplace to grab a quick bite, we stopped in here. It's all country cooking/comfort foods and the prices are more than reasonable for the amount of food one receives, however a couple of things to mention: the service was very slow and we were seated at the front of the... The family was very happy with the selection of down home southern food. Everyone had something different so we all had a chance to sample it.

Our bowling league likes to meet at this restaurant for breakfast The food has always been good and served quickly. The prices are very reasonable. They have a variety of vegetables to choose from. Some of the favorite dishes ordered are: chicken-fried steak $7.49, Belgian waffle $4.99 and grilled chicken breast $6.49 (which is a good choice if you are... More

I especially like their vegetable soup and cornbread. They have it year round and it's consistently good. That's my favorite along with blackberry cobbler; I also like the fried chicken salad.

Many times we have made the drive to eat here. Not many places left sadly where you can get meat and vegetables . Def on our list of places to dine!

First time for supper at Lizard's Thicket. Amazing prices for real country home cooking. The corn bread are tasty, the staff very accommodating and so many choices. This LT was great, hopefully they are all the same. Everyone should try it at leapt once.

This is a southern style restaurant. The menu is on the wall. You select one meat and three vegetables. You may also select a dessert, if you are a big eater. But wait, there is also a printed menu on each table with all sorts of sandwiches and other less-regional dishes. But this is southern cooking at it's best. Our... More
