I've been to this pub numerous times, started with the Ruban with huge portions of corned beef and homemade chips the first trip, then hesitantly tried the Guinness Beef Pie... a new personal favorite! For $9.79 you get Sirloin steak seasoned with spices and Guinness beer with vegetables topped with mashed potatoes and served with garlic toast. Everything is made... More

This is a quaint town. This a hopping place. They have great wait staff. Fred has a world of knowledge about the area. Jackie is a great bar tender, always makes you feel at home. Every meal has been cooked perfectly by the chef. My husband loves the liver and onions. Not many places offer it.

the best reuben sandwich I've had ever. Probably because the kraut was really tender and didn't overpower the rest of the sandwich. Had a caesar salad that was large and acceptable, but nothing special. Service was timely but the server just seemed like she didn't care if we were there or not. She did everything right but ... Will go... More

We called and got call ahead seating which was a blessing because this place was packed. We just walked right in and got our seat. We had a hard time picking what to eat since this was our first time there. They had so much to choose from. I got a grilled chicken salad which was great. My daughter got... More

This was a good local "pub". The food was good, the sweet potato chips actually were very good. I always think these places need a good scrub but it was in fact very clean, I think it must be the decor!

What a delightful place to eat! The place was absolutely packed! We sat outside and I expected to be assailed by the local insects but to my surprise, only one wayward gnat showed any interest. The atmosphere was cozy and the weather was perfect. The wait time was a bit longer than I expected because when we last visited, it... More

Best fish and chips on this side of atlantic. If I have a sweet tooth I go with the sweet potato fries and caramel dipping sauce. You won't have room for dessert so get your homemade bread pudding to go:)

Stopped by after hearing that most restaurants in the area would not likely be open on Sunday. Great service from Amy and excellent food. I recommend the Hare and Hound Pub if you are in the area. Fried pickles were outstanding!

I was in the Tryon/Landrum area for two weeks and ate at a number of places in the area, some more than once, including this one. And they were great both times. It was packed the first time and the service was great. It was a little less packed the second time and the service was awesome. None of the... More

Good pub food in an attractive setting with reasonable prices. Landrum has a number of interesting shops in the two--block downtown area and a great farmers market on Saturday mornings during the summer. Hare and Hound is a good place for lunch or dinner. There are outdoor dining tables, but it can be hard to get a table during weekend... More
