The best flounder I have ever enjoyed

Recently, four of us went to The Sanctuary hotel on Kiawah Island, which we enjoy. We had intended to go to Ocean Room and/or Sushi Lounge, but didn't remember they were closed on Sunday and Monday evenings. We were initially disappointed and went to the Jasmine Porch, which we usually think of... read more

Can you say delightful, filling and exquisite, all rolled into one? If so, The Jasmine Porch fits the bill. The staff are phenomenal and the food is just fantastic. I mean, beef and dumplings (basically beef and gnocchi) alongside shrimp and grits. This is not a buffet for those who are trying to watch their weight, but it is for... More

I had dinner with a client and a work colleague on a Monday night in April. We each had 1-2 cocktails, beer/wine with our meals along with appetizers or salads and entrees plus two desserts. Overall, the food was good and tasty. Our server was attentive at the beginning and a little less so as the evening went on due... More

Was advised by a resort employee that this was a top tier restaurant and the food was wonderful. What I got was two overcooked steaks, dry chicken and one adult meal (we had 4 adults and 2 children) that I would consider exceptional. Not sure what the employee considered good but left very disappointed.

Mother's Day dinner celebration. Not our first time at this table. This special occasion was again highlighted by the extraordinary staff that continue to contribute to the overall success that Jasmine Porch is noted for. In my many travels to include living 12 years in Germany, I can truthfully say our dining experience was 5 Star. From the warm reception... More

The service and the food are outstanding. Sit on the terrace and enjoy the beautiful landscaping. Great spot. Enjoy!

Have visited this restaurant a number of times on several different trips to Kiawah Island. We recently had dinner there and it was terrific. The food was delicious, beautifully served, perfect temperature and very generous portions. The cold avocado/cucumber soup was really great; I have already tried to recreate at home. Beet salad was very nice with several different kinds... More

Jasmine Porch is a solid choice for lowcountry cuisine while on Kiawah, but I'm really taking the time to focus on the outstanding service--the kind you always hope for in ANY restaurant.. In my view, great service makes ordinary food taste better and, conversely, poor service can kill the taste of great food..We had a situation where my salmon came out... More

We enjoyed our breakfasts each morning and found the food to be delicious. I tried the oatmeal (yum!) as well as the blueberry quinoa pancakes (even better!) My husband was so enamoured with the Greek yogurt and granola that he had it every morning. The staff was also great. My only complaint, which is not the fault of the restaurant... More

Easter Sunday Brunch is an annual tradition for my family. Beautiful hotel, pristine beach, inviting pool and pool cabana, lovely atmosphere in the restaurant, excellent service and wonderful food. Nice but resort casual. Great for families with young children. The food is always exceptional. We celebrate Christmas, Easter and July birthdays here and have never been disappointed.
