We had several meals here during our trip. Both times we ate outside, which was good as the AC was really cranked up inside. The food was great and the staff very accommodating of our party of eight. The view of the 18th green and the sunset over the marsh were both great.

The food at the Ryder Cup bar is excellent. Service is always the best. My family vacation in Kiawah every year and we go out to the Ocean Course to have dinner at the Ryder Cup bar a few times during the week. The shrimp appetizer is the best in world. You won't find better cooked shrimp. Always perfect! Our... More

The Ocean Course is not the easiest to bag a par, in fact it is the hardest course in the country, but the Ryder Cup bar is a great place to sit and talk about the ups and downs of the day. The bar staff are hard working and friendly which is essential as the place gets very busy at... More

Fabulous setting overlooking the Ocean Course, great to have a light dinner and drinks. You are paying for the view, not the food or service. Go with the right expectations and you should have a good time.

We were last here several years ago, but today we took our 17 and 20 year old sons for an impromptu lunch. The food was excellent (especially the onion rings, cooked perfectly). If you are staying on Kiawha, this is a must do. Not crowded, wonderful service and incredible view.

Beautiful ocean views. Club/pub atmosphere. Expensive but great food. Have drinks outdoors before dinner overlooking the golf course and the beach.

The Ocean Course is one of the best golf courses in the country. Very exclusive, very expensive to play. And it does have it's fine dining restaurant - The Atlantic Room. But our family of nine (four teenagers) had a great dinner and sunset adventure there. We knew that we had to go early, so we showed up at 5:30.... More

Our server, Winston, was perfectly charming. Food choice was extensive for a "bar". After and before the meal we lounged on the porch in rocking chairs, watching golfers tackle the 18th, as well as cute toddlers "practicing" on the putting green. The ocean breeze kept us comfortable. A wonderful place!

Great view of the 18th whole and the dunes of Kiawah Island. Can get a little busy, but food is reasonably priced (especially compared to the Atlantic Room or dinner at the Sanctuary). Tons of golf history around which is fun. Strongly recommend getting there early and enjoying some drinks on the rocking chars on the wrap around porch.
