Good, but not the #1 Restaurant on the Island

Location is what makes this. It's a gorgeous view of the ocean and the 18th green. Food and device are nice as advertised and they have an excellent scotch selection to boot (as with almost any spirit desire); the only drawbacks are price--like most resort places, nothing is cheap--and... read more

We started out as a party of four ladies inside for drinks and appetizers. Once our husbands finished playing golf, they joined us. We moved outside to the porch to watch the waves and have drinks. Our server was even able to pull off a surprise birthday dessert for our friend. He was outstanding and kept us very happy. Outstanding... More

Watched the sunset while dinning at the bar. Another terrific bartender, however the taps were not working when we were there so didn't get to sample any local beers. Dinner was over the top delicious. Had the mahi mahi sandwich. We ordered the crab dip app, Enough there that it could've been the meal itself. Actually took home half my... More

After a round of golf in 40 mph winds and 40 degrees, they had my favorite scotch. Yeah. Oh, the views were great and the food was good

A very casual place, despite being part of the Ocean Course and an excellent place to have a drink or lunch. Sitting outside on one of the wicker chairs overlooking the ocean with a cold beer is very hard to beat.

Usual fried fare nothing wrong but not exciting either, service fine and twenty minute shuttle service drive from hotel. Great views over sea unfortunately 18th hole gets in the way

Ocean views, the 18th green of a championship golf course, good food and service is what one will get with a visit to The Rider Cup Bar. Kiawah is a private island with restricted access however one can get a limited pass to visit the Ocean Course Clubhouse and it is well worth the effort required to clear security.

what a place to enjoy a post round drink or meal overlooking the 18th and ocean. phenomenal it is small so it fills up quickly but the drink selection is very good and though its a small menu everything is prepared very well.

My husband and I came here for lunch so we could watch the golfers. I had no idea that the view would be this great - this is right next to the 18th green, and right on the ocean. We sat on the veranda and enjoyed the view while we had a very nice lunch. I had the grilled pimento... More
