The bar area is casual, and the bartenders are very nice. The food is excellent. I had mussels one night and linguine with clams another night. Both were delicious.

Even though we did not have reservations, we were seated immediately. Drinks arrived quickly. Food was very good and the selection for entrees was more than adequate. Dessert was lemon and raspberry sherbet. Very refreshing after a long drive in the rain. Great service.

This was our first time dining at Tomasso and we would definitely go back. We started off with the mussels, which were wonderful in the well seasoned broth. The sausage and tomatoes in it were also very good. The special salad for the night was an arugula salad with grilled peaches and buffalo mozzarella. Both my husband and I thought... More

We were greeted warmly and we were pleased to see they offered a kids menu that was perfect for our 8, 6 and 2 year olds. Don't be intimidated, this restaurant is kid friendly. Rodney and his assistant Yvonne were truly hospitable. The kid's pizza and desserts were fine. Our issues were consistent with previous reviewers. The calamari was not... More

While our waiter was fantastic at Tomasso, the food was disappointing. The calamari was so overdone, the squid itself was crunchy. My husband's spaghetti and meatballs was OK, but my short rib pasta was simply dreadful. Terrible consistency and taste.

The seafood risotto is marvelous. We've picked up food here twice and have enjoyed it both times, though a family of four will easily spend >$100.

We have eaten here every time we go to Kiawah (my family has been here 5 times), my sister's family has been here over 10 times. It was great food, relaxing atmosphere and great service. The only thing we had on this trip was great service. Tableclothes are gone from the table, you eat on a wooden table with not... More

Average atmosphere (feels like a semi-private country club restaurant). Average food taste and selection (10ish entrees. Not authentic Italian like you'd find in NYC, Boston's North End, etc.). Average wine selection (Predominantly Italian Vineyards making an educated choice [at least for me] difficult. Better than average service (they seem to recognize their short comings and are trying to make up... More
