This restaurant has very good seafood and very fair prices. It appears they hire wait staff and start them with no training. With that said, the staff were working hard and very friendly but they lacked quite in many areas of serving customers. Host attempted to put us at a table next to the bar which was extremely loud even... More

Everything was going well till we ordered and it was all downhill from there. Our salads came out after our entree had all but finished.........seafood tasted funky, flounder was tough, fried shrimp were old.........the hush puppies were good though. The service was terrible and after we asked where our salads were we didn't see our server again. Like I said,... More

Except if I am dining with my in-laws, the dining experience here is always enjoyable! With an allergy to shell fish, I was reluctant to eat here, but gave it a go. The fish is always excellent and the drinks are to die for LOL. Good martini's and specials, yes the waite staff is not as good as before the... More

The food is mediocre. Nothing to write home about. Fried baskets are good if you're a fan of everything fried. Service is very average. Don't expect much from the wait staff. They did just reopen. Maybe they'll be better staffed this go round

Had lunch with family and was shocked to find the food to be good. My brother and I each had the cod with red rice and slaw. The cod was properly cooked although it needed better seasonings. The red rice was tasty and moist. Our waitress was attentive but not annoying. My sister had the seafood trio and said that... More

The food was only average, nothing special at all. I was expecting larger portions and something we could really brag on, but that did not happen. I doubt we will return there.

Average food. Had the fried shrimp that were fresh tasting. Corn on the cob was water logged and shot water with every bite. The shrimp dip appetizer had hardly any shrimp and was mostly bacon and celery and it wasn't by any means a dip. Red rice was average.

Looking for a great seafood place this is it! The place was packed because of restaurant week in Charleston but it was worth the wait. The food was fresh and plentiful. My wife and I had the seafood trio fried Flounder, scallops and shrimp. Very tasty, the mashed potatos were creamy and lots of flavor. I would have given 5... More

We went to Gilligan's on Friday January 3, 2014. There was no wait; we were seated promptly. Our server came by and greeted us and took our drink order while we were browsing the menu. I ordered the all you can eat fried shrimp with fried okra and coleslaw. Our server brought us a small basket of hush puppies which... More

Note that the fish and chips actually comes with potato style chips, not fries, which is more traditional. Chips are good, but are the bulk of the entree. Fish was good, was hoping for more of it. Salmon was good, but typical of a chain style restaurant. Hush puppies that the waiter served while we were waiting for the entree were... More
