We just dined at Crave after hearing our friends rave about it. The service was absolutely terrible. The waitress was inattentive and rude. We had reservations at 8:15, and she seemed almost angry we were there. It was the two of us, my in-laws and our daughter, so it wasn't like we were a rowdy crowd by any means. She... More

We visited Crave with family who live locally, and know that we like good food in unassuming places. This fit the bill perfectly. Great shrimp and grits, the lowcountry philly sandwich was superb, as was the service. Will definitely visit again!

It's not easy planning a wedding celebration from across the Atlantic, but CRAVE Charleston Catering made it possible - and wonderful! My husband (chef and restauranteur) and I (photographer) were married in South Africa on March 8, 2014, and traveled to Charleston for our US Celebration on March 15. After contacting a number of caterers in Charleston, we finally (and... More

Our family of three were in Kiawah for a long weekend and unfamiliar with restaurant options. Lucky to find reviews on TA for Crave indicating a good breakfast. Our meal was fantastic. Restaurant is cozy, very casual and our service was great. I had the Johns Island breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast and grits...simple, but well prepared. Bread was not... More

OK. So it doesn't look like much outside, but the parking lot of the little place was full. Man... what a discovery! The food is awesome. Chef Mike is busy creating delicious southern fare with local ingredients. Try it. They do catering as well. And carry out. I saw delicious shrimp Po Boys and tuna burgers and a low country... More

This little gem should not be missed when visiting the Johns Island area! It is open for brekfast and lunch daily (have you ever had duck hash?). Dinner is only Wednesday - Friday. The seafood stew is fantastic, with a tomato-basil broth and more seafood than broth!!! My wife had a grouper dish that she would NOT SHARE, so I... More

We stopped in here for lunch and it was perfect. He had the fried oyster salad which was very large. The oysters were cooked PERFECTLY - probably the best fried oysters I've had so far in my ten years in Charleston. We even got a side order of them. I had the fried tomato stacker appetizer and no complaints here.... More

This restaurant located right down the street from Kiawah's Freshfield Village is a must try while visiting the Island! The atmosphere is quaint, the staff makes you feel like you're a regular, and the food is beyond delicious! My fiance and I live on Johns Island and love making the short little trip out to Kiawah to stop here for... More

We had a wonderful lunch at Crave. It's a tiny place but food was delicious! There were many choices on chalkboard for breakfast and lunch. We had burger special, fried chicken sandwich, tomato-basil soup and shrimp tacos. All were excellent. The shrimp were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The soup tasted of fresh tomatoes. The burger special was topped with... More
