Perfect breakfast served at 11:00 when others may not. Creamy outstanding grits, and I'm an expert! The staff was quick and pleasant but did not hover.

I have visited this small restaurant/café for breakfast on several occasions. The service and coffee are good, the bathroom is clean, and the breakfast menu is complete (except no bagels & cream cheese). There is also a lunch menu but I have only been to the restaurant in the morning. This one is located on Folly Road on James Island,... More

My husband, adult son and I ate a late breakfast on Sunday at this restaurant which is rather small and VERY busy. We had about a 30 minute wait but was worth it. The waitress warned us that all food is prepared when ordered and there were a couple of larger groups ahead of us. I had a shrimp omelet... More

We tried this place out while in Charleston since I refuse to eat at "common" restaurants while on vacation. If there is one in my hometown why would I eat there on vacation? We found this place while perusing the St Johns Island end of the low country. The service was good and the food was better. One warning the... More

Small little diner that you must visit. Food was excellent. Some of the breakfast dishes were out of the ordinary, but very good. Pecan encrusted french toast is a must. A much easier location to get to than the downtown Charleston restaurant.

We were originally going to go to the downtown location, but were in this area as well, so thought we'd give it a try. Great breakfast! There was about a 20 minute wait on a Sunday morning, but well worth it. The food was very good, and the wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our waitress mentioned that their... More

I had purchased a restaurant.com certificate for this place a couple of years ago and misplaced it. We ran across it the other day and decided to give it a try. Finding info on-line was not very helpful as all things pointed to it being a breakfast/brunch operation with no menu online. I'm glad I called to find out they... More

We were headed to Folly Beach and looking for a place to eat lunch. We saw Sweetwater and turned in. Great little diner with very friendly, efficient folks running it. These are the places I really love to find. I had meatloaf with mashed potatoes and collard greens. I enjoyed every bite. I wish my mother could see me enjoying... More

We were looking for a place to have a late breakfast on Saturday morning and luckily we happened by Sweetwater Cafe. The food was wonderful - it was cooked to order and extremely fresh. We were there for a short weekend to attend a wedding - next time we are in the area we will definitely eat there again -... More

We were driving towards Folly Beach yesterday when we saw a large amount of cars at a nearby local restaurant. We made a U-turn to check it out and was glad that we did. A bit crowded (ony a 15 minute wait) but were rewarded for our wait with some of the best food in Charleston. I ordered the eggs... More
