Hit and miss with Sunday brunch.

Tried it out for Sunday brunch while visiting the area. The beignets were incredible. Be sure to try these. The chicken and biscuits were hot and very tasty. The eggs were fresh for all dishes as well. Unfortunately, the pancakes, probably the easiest dish to cook, missed the mark. These were very... read more

When I first stepped into Angel Oak I was not sure what to expect. Very casual atmosphere and a lot of locals, which I always take as a good sign. I must say that the food was great along with the prices. I cannot wait to go back.

I've now been to Angel Oak Cafe 5 times. Two brunches and Three dinners. The first brunch hooked me. The first dinner was really good. The other three trips they've skirted by off of the first two experiences. Both the food and service have gone down hill. Now! It's not that the place is bad, it's just not as good... More

You need to go inside not judging the food by the looks outside! It is wonderfully fresh salads, locally grown produce. The chicken salad and croissant is divine!!!! We were the only customers until (literally) a tour bus unloaded! We will be back!!!

My girlfriend came across this restaurant as we wanted to get a bite to eat before heading to see the Angel Oak tree. It was definitely a gem. The restaurant is in a small house off of Savannah Highway. For appetizer got the fried pickles which were ok. For entree we both ordered the bang bang shrimp buns with a... More

Stopped here for lunch on way to Hilton Head from Charleston airport. At first glance almost changed mind. However inside is charming, service was friendly and attentive and food was excellent. Two in our party had the fried chicken. They both felt it was the best they have ever had. There is honey is the breading that is great. For... More

My family and I ate lunch here on our first day in Charleston. We couldn't find many restaurants on the way to see the Angel Oak tree, so we decided to check this one out. It is a cute house off the highway with plenty of parking. It is small inside, but very comfortable. Our lunch was delicious. I had... More

Food was good/fresh, portions a bit small for the price per the hubby. Overall pleasant experience and atmosphere.
