Had the pleasure of dining here last month. This was one of the most delightful experiences my husband and I have had in a long time. Very warm greeting when we arrived from the hostess as well as the servers. The atmosphere was charming and sincere. There were four of us and everyone was delighted. The crab cakes were just... Was there 10 minutes and I heard 3 things that "they could not do". Flies everywhere landing on food. Everything from appetizer to desert was was over salted...so salty, that it just could not be enjoyed. Deserts tasted like generic marshmallows and store bought pudding. It just was not a good experience. Would not recommend.

We ordered the three cheese ravioli, fried chicken and chicken fried steak. All were excellent. The fired chicken and chicken fried steak had good size portions. The cheese ravioli did not look like a big portion but it was perfect. The collard greens were one of the best I tasted. Great service by the young man, personable, and wanted to... More

Great food that, in my opinion, rivals some of the more expensive restaurants in the area. I got the shrimp and grits and the grits were so creamy and cheesy they were almost like cheesy mashed potatoes. Perhaps true grits lovers wouldn't appreciate that but I sure did. It was easily my favorite grits dish ever. Everything we had was... More

Where do I begin? Prompt, friendly greeting upon entering, with immediate seating. Service was superb, the food was TO DIE FOR! Enjoyed meeting and talking to the chef. Loved the salvaged chic look of the interior. It simply added to the coziness of the meal. One of my most enjoyable meals (and memories) of my 55 years. I'll go back... More

I finally got a chance to return to the Charleston area and was able to make another trip to my favorite restaurant around. I love this place so much that I made a point to stop by for lunch on my way out of the area as well and I was only visiting for a short period of time. For... More

While on vacation in Kiawah we had the pleasure of dining at the Angel Oak Restaurant. It was fantastic! The fried chicken is second to none and the shrimp and grits are divine! Their collard greens are absolutely delicious as is there pimento cheese served with these awesome cheddar shortbread wafers. We had many great meals on our trip but... More

Went for Sunday brunch, waited over an hour for food that wasn't good. I am local and I will never go there again. Very disappointed

Interesting and funky decor. Decent Wine list. Good/Friendly service. One of our entrees was not served as ordered----but they offered to make it right. Salads were good. Everything is locally sourced. BBQ Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese was good---we split it as an appetizer. Shrimp and Grits was good. Country fried steak was poor. Fried chicken was average, Beignets were... More
