We ate here, by chance, as we were leaving the beach. Breakfast was outstanding. I had BBQ shrimp and grits ($10.95). They were better than some I had at more expensive restaurants. Almost all menu items were under $10. Really good coffee....my fave was Jamaica me crazy.

Had a great lunch at Sunrise Bistro. Fast friendly service, very clean. The grouper basket really hit the spot, perfectly prepared. This is my go to lunch spot on John's Island.

While I don't do it often, I'm all about brunch. While this place is out of the way in terms of being close to the major Charleston area, it is worth the drive especially if you have plans to be on Johns Island. It could be described lovingly as a "hole in the wall" with nothing flashy about the physical... More

By far, the best breakfast on Johns Island! I LOVE the Texas Stacker: cheesy sunny eggs on toast with grits and bacon. Sounds like a crazy combination but it is delicious! It is busy on the weekends, so you may have to wait for a table, but it is worth it! They have delicious coffee, too. My daughters love the... More

Lovely little bistro with warm service and delicious food! The bread on the veggie sandwich was perfect, and the potato salad a nice accompaniment.

We ate breakfast here. The four of us were seated after a 15 minute wait. The person who sat us threw our menus on the table and never utter a word until I said good morning. When the waitress came to the table never a hello, good morning, how are you. So are you ready to order oorrrr ??? was... More

I was looking for a good breakfast and came upon the Sunrise Bistro. Ordered the omelette with bacon, cheddar cheese, red onion, tomato. It was promptly served up, the waitress was cheerful and gracious. Will definitely be back when I am in the area.

We ate here for my daughter's birthday during my recent visit. The food was definitely excellent, but I was a little miffed when he brought my coffee mug and directed me to the air pots of coffee across the room. They ended up with a couple of big parties that I had to constantly maneuver through to get my cup... More
