All the food was stellar!! Some of the best caprese' ever, fried oysters to die for, the Grouper was prepared perfectly, and the Lobster tail was simply outstanding. For dessert, we had passionfruit sorbet, that we have been dreaming about since we were there. The only negative was our female server who simply does not understand "happy" or kind customer... More

Have been coming to Kiawah for years and have experienced all of the restaurants on/off the island. Hege's is simply the best. Don't be fooled by the small printed menu; they offer a number of amazing specials. Tonight I had the lamb chops (special) while most of my family had fish. We all raved about the food. If you going... More

Food is good with some items actually excellent. The major down side is price. $20 for a burger, $40 for Prime Rib, $12-13 for a mix drink. Service is very good and easy to get in which also is contributed to a rise in the menu pricing. I like the food and staff and variety of items on the menu... More

Refined and tasty cooking, great service, good wine, nice location in Fresh Fields and a welcome option to pricey Kiawah options.

My wife and I are here at Seabrook for the week and decided to try Hege's tonight with the hopes of having their paella - unfortunately, they were sold out for the evening... so, at the suggestion of the bartender, we tried a couple of their specials - the sea bass and the scallops - both were incredible, both were... I ate at Hege's two times last week while visiting Kiawah Island. The first night I had the crab cakes which were just OK. The second night I had the steak au poivre which was delicious. It was one of the best steaks that I ever had.

had dinner here our last night on the island. Everyone's food was perfect--I had seafood paella which was really too big for one person. good wine selection and reasonable prices (for Kiawah)

Had dinner with my family Friday night at Hege's. This was the 2nd visit in two years. I have dined at most of the top restaurants in Charleston (Husk, Fig...) and I would easily consider Hege's in the same league with those. We shared a few apps, which included one of the best caprese salads I have ever had with... More

The escargot is the Best-On-The-Planet. I'm serious. The escargot is fabulous. I get it every time we go to Hege's and we dine here a lot. I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal or bad service. Almost everything is expensive in the Kiawah Island area. Like my friend says, "Kiawah is the home of the nine-dollar... More
