Consistently awesome experience at Wild Olive

I love the food. I love the atmosphere. I love the service. Of all the great places to eat in Charleston, this is in the Top 5 for me.

lovely place to go, nice bar friendly staff. I have eaten here dozens of times and the food is always too salty. If you ask them to add no additional salt the meals are much better. The octopus salad is charred to perfection but again ask for no extra salt. Not sure who is heavy handed but after years of... More

We started with appetizers and was not disappointed(3 different ones). The main meal was wonderful and so much we needed to go boxes. The cannoli's were like the ones my mother made and very fresh. We would definitely go back.

We've eatten at Wild Olive many times but last nights dinner was beyond disappointing. I ordered the lamb sausage lasagna and it was so salty it was almost inedible. With so many options for dining out in the area, might not risk a return.

We visit the Charleston area often, and when we go always plan a trip to the Wild Olive. This is probably my favorite eating experience on John's Island, if not the entire area. It is very popular, so make a reservation. The menu is Italian with a SC flair. There are always great specials to try, and the service is... More

Like many food lovers who live on or visit Seabrook Island or Kiawah Island, we're captives of low country geography. Charleston with all its food wonders is just a little bit too far away for night driving so every year we return once to the Wild Olive. Each time we arrive with the hope that the food will live up... More

On a recent trip to Kiawah Island this was our dinner choice for our last evening. It is fairly close to the island, about 25 minutes. Dinner reservations are a must here. The food is wonderful! Warning portions are quite large! The wait staff is very professional and accommodating for picky eaters and children. The only downside I could find... More

I had been to Wild Olive twice before - both times with large groups. Both times before I sat at the long community table near the bar. Both times, I just felt that everything was too busy around me. This time it was just my wife and me... What a difference! This time couldn't have been any better We were... More
