My husband and I traveled to Charleston for a big birthday getaway. We are from Alberta, Canada. So even though the locals were saying how chilly it was, we found the temperatures very pleasant. Our waiter at Hominy Grill recommended we try Wild Olive as a less "touristy" place that in-the-know locals really enjoy. We cancelled reservations at a more-hyped... More

My wife and I recently had dinner at the Wild Olive and the restaurant was not nearly as special as I thought it would be after reading all the very positive reviews. The pros included exceptional calamari and very good service. The cons included almost cold pasta and this was true for both my wife and I and tasteless desserts.... More

Recently dined at Wild Olive on what suppose to be the $19 wine night. Was told the "wine shipment" did not come in and they were not offering the afore mentioned special. However, when the table next to us inquired they were graciously offered the limited $19 list. At this point I had already purchased an excellent bottle of which... More

Had dinner here with some friends just before Christmas. It was our first time there and definitely won't be our last. Food and service were both excellent. And they had several vegetarian options for the veggies in our group. If you want to spend a fun evening with great food and are willing to travel a bit out of downtown... More

I LOVE this place. I hadn't been since I used to live in Charleston and decided to try it again my last visit. It was even better than I remembered. My mom and I split an order of brussels sprouts as an appetizer. The portion size was huge and they were delicious. We tried 3 different entrees--all of which were... More

My wife, son, and I ate at Wild Olive last night (1/5/16) and we do often! Each of us talked about how good our meal was. My wife and I both got their special salad for the evening and the pappardelle pasta main course, and my son had the charred octopus appetizer along with a ravioli main dish. We could... More

I am a big fan of Tripadvisor and always use it as a source when looking for hotels, restaurants, and things to do when traveling. It is seldom that you read reviews for an establishment that is consistently rated as "Excellent". After enjoying a wonderful dinner at Wild Olive, I recommend that you believe every word that is written about... More

This is the sister restaurant to The Obstinate Daughter on Sullivan's Island and every bit as good if you love Italian. Waitress was a very enthusiastic foodie. You wanted to try everything she described by the way she presented the menu and specials items. My wife and I love the small plate options which were filling and delicious. Full entrees... More
