On a cool, rain-threatening night, this is the place to go - warm environment, wonderful food, smartly served. Call for reservations, and don't forget to tell the server "no extra salt." We had lasagna and chicken cacciatore, and it hit the spot. Great wines, too, paired with the server's expertise.

We have eaten here many times I do not recall a poor meal. Portioner generous. Many good pasta dishes, fresh seafood has been good. It can be a bit noisy - but that lends to the atmosphere of diners having fun.

Hubby and I drove from the Middleton Place inn to the Wild Olive based on reviews. We were not at all disappointed. The wine prices here are much more affordable than some restaurants in Charleston so we definitely enjoyed having more than one glass each. We each ordered the half portion of pasta and both dishes were divine and plenty... More

We had one of the best meals out in a long time at Wild Olive. There wasn't a single dish that we didn't like. The charred octopus salad was superb as well as the carpaccio and charcuterie board, I especially loved the little pot of roasted red peppers which came with the charcuterie. Entrees my favorite was the papperdelle(?) with... More

This now my favorite Johns Island restaurant! We had no reservation but were seated only after a short wait. From the bar tender to the servers the service was amazing! Nice recommendations for wine and the food was excellent . We will visit again when we are in the area and recommend others should do the same.

Stopped in around 5 pm for dinner - dining room did not open till 5:30 but they offered seats in their bar area and appetizers and pasta. Was impressed that they accommodated us vs turning us away. We had the gnocchi and pappardelle with bolognese - both were very good and loved that they offered a smaller portion. Highly recommend... More

I love the food. I love the atmosphere. I love the service. Of all the great places to eat in Charleston, this is in the Top 5 for me.

lovely place to go, nice bar friendly staff. I have eaten here dozens of times and the food is always too salty. If you ask them to add no additional salt the meals are much better. The octopus salad is charred to perfection but again ask for no extra salt. Not sure who is heavy handed but after years of... More

We started with appetizers and was not disappointed(3 different ones). The main meal was wonderful and so much we needed to go boxes. The cannoli's were like the ones my mother made and very fresh. We would definitely go back.
