Located in a strip mall, it is much better than you might think. The price point is very fair. Fish are very fresh, and coded anyway you like. The wine list and cocktails are good. We went twice during the 5 days we were there. The service personnel are wonderful and very helpful. You are not rushed. Tried flounder for... More

We dropped in at this cafe just before they were closing and they blew our minds. We ate the most delicious shrimp and salmon you have ever had. After a cross country flight, it was just what we needed. The chef was gracious, the service was friendly and most of all, all 6 of us, were very very happy with... More

Dont let the strip center location turn you away. We ate there last night for the first time in five months and the food was still great. Order whatever is the local fish special. I had the redfish and it was perfectly prepared, not over cooked as in so many large restaurants. The succotash was a great side.

My husband and I were just driving around Isle of Palms exploring for the day. We were staying in North Charleston. We didn't know where to go and just stopped in for lunch because we saw it. The restaurant was clean and the staff very pleasant. I had the special of the day which was a fried chicken sandwich with... More

We were fortunate to visit during restaurant week, had very good values on their dinners which included a desert. The desert was call chocolate bourbon pecan pie. If for no other reason stop there for just this. Just a very short distance (1 block) from the county park at the Isle of Palms Beach.

It has been a while since I are here. I was SO disappointed and know I had not missed much. Food was average, service slow and unattentive, and given the variety of restaurants nearby you would get more value for your money...and better food. I will not be returning nor recommend it.

Our large group visits Isle of Palms every year. We have been going there for over ten years. Long Island Cafe has always been one of our two favorite restaurants in the area. The food is consistently delicious. Unfortunately, LIC has new owners and they do not have the first clue how to be gracious hosts. The wait staff is... More

I'm very sorry that you felt the service was less was superior at the Long Island Cafe. I'm hoping that maybe it was just an off night. If you read our other 99 reviews, most everyone comments on how wonderful our service has become since changing hands. We take a lot of time and energy training our staff to be... More

We had our best food here during our four day stay. We were a little aprehensive when entering the restaurant, located in a strip mall, but quickly the staff brought us a great experience by providing friendly wait service, excellent seafood and steak. We will return.

What a great find on Isle of Palms near Charleston! Everything was excellent! The food, the service, the people, the ambiance, the presentations, everything! We had a delicious Tilefish dinner, salad, fried green tomatoes, soup and wine. Seafood specialists. Our white and red wines were excellent. Located in the shopping center immediately to the left when you cross onto the... More

After biking on the Isle of Palms, my husband and I needed food, drink and air conditioning. We had parked in a little shopping center and saw there were several local restaurants to choose from. The Long Island Cafe was a good choice! Large sandwiches, really fresh ingredients and friendly staff.
