I have been to the Old Firehouse for years. It is a must visit. The menu is small, and they do all of it very. I absolutely LOVE their wood fired oven pizza. They have it down. However, one of the best attribuites of this restaurant is that you can actually carry on a conversation over dinner! that is rare... More

My wife & I returned and this is our favorite restaurant. We had buffalo green tomatoes with blue cheese, followed by shrimp perlo which is "plate licking" good! True Myth chardonnay (Edna Valley) was an excellent accompanying wine. The service is great & I really don't see how they keep getting better, but they do! A superb evening in a... More

I had some of the best Mahi Mahi ever--fresh and cooked to perfection. My companions were similarly impressed with their pizzas. Bravo. Wish we could turn the volume down, but that's a common problem in today's restaurants.

I had the Crispy Whole Flounder with grits. Delicious! My wife had Scallops Scampi with linguine. It, too, was delicious. The restaurant is about 35 miles from our home in Mt. Pleasant, but it was worth the trip. We will go back.

We wanted something different and to avoid downtown Charleston crowds. Happened upon this place that from the road looked a little run down, but was packed. If you have to wait it must be good, so we did. Burger was delicious and the fried green tomatoes with pimento was excellent. Glad we gave this historical place a try.

My wife & I returned to our favorite restaurant. Buffalo fried green tomatoes, followed by summer shrimp succotash (shrimp, sautéed, with rice, butter beans, corn, & green pepper) was absolutely wonderful. Raspberry sorbet for dessert topped off another fantastic dinner. I really enjoy & appreciate this restaurant more each time we go. We will remain "regulars."

WOW - what a find. You would not think you would find gourmet quality food here by the looks of the place. It's an old fire station - with lots of fire house memorabilia around. The staff are great, they know the menu and are very attentive. The basics are on the menu - great pizza / burgers etc. But,... More

Two of our party ordered pizza and they were both delightfully fabulous! The third in our party ordered the Hollywood shrimp which arrived with Geechy Boy grits and Meggett cabbage. The cabbage was awesome and I don't like cabbage! The 12 shrimp had been seasoned and grilled and the grits were creamy. I thought the serving was small, however I... More

Wonderful crispy scored fried flounder! If you are staying at edisto beach, this is worth the drive! The shrimp pilau was amazing. Super casual atmosphere with food that rivals much more formal restaurants.
