I liked the fact that the portions are smaller than most places. The food tasted fresh and the line to get in says it all. Its worth it. Certainly on the pricey side however. Fresh food cost more though!!! I will be back again and again.

Have eaten here a couple of times on our family trips to HHI. Large selection and decent prices but service is terrible. Go alone or eat outside at a picnic table if you want to hold a conversation. Lots of yelling inside by staff. Plus customer conversations at 13 inside tables reverberate off walls, floor and ceiling in this small place. The grilled grouper and flounder sandwiches were very good. Some of us liked it, some did not. Not particularly friendly staff. Fried flounder and shrimp were a success, as well as the shrimp gumbo. A very unique dining experience and enjoyed taking the pressure off a night of expensive seafood and wine bars. Sat down and ordered a large fried platter of flounder, oysters, and shrimp. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and unique home feel of the restaurant. Definitely a one of a kind on the island.

What a surprise that we only had a short wait time! Great week to visit. Can never go wrong eating here, food is always good and reasonable. Soft shell crab, peel n eat shrimp, black bean salsa-YUM! YUM!
