This restaurant was highly recommended to us by people we met in Hilton Head. It's located in a private resort with villas and townhouses, and it costs $6 for a car to enter. The cafe is really a restaurant, located on a marina with other associated shops and eating choices. When we arrived we found a big outdoor bonfire and... More

Enjoyed the shrimp fest dinners. Lots of good for at reasonable prices. Cool atmosphere and on the water.

We love to bike down to the Salty Dog and enjoy a drink & bite on a sunny day. The atmosphere is wonderful, perfect for a relaxing beach vacation. The food and drinks are average at best but somehow the atmosphere keeps drawing us back.

Enjoyed the oysters very much. This time of year it is very quite here on island. Plus a very Cold front blasted through. Mostly in the 30s & 40s while here. Warm resturants were a blessing! And friendly service was really great!

We actually stopped in for the night before Thanksgiving for the Bog but everyone else must have had the same idea! Everyone on the island must have been here, long lines for the outdoor dinner so we opted to get a table inside. We were first told 1 1/2 hours and normally would not have stayed however we were there... More

Right on the water. Plenty of seafood choices and even a few choices that would satisfy a vegan. There was outdoor seating and even an outdoor firepit. They even have a boat that takes folks out on the water and serves beer and wine and snacks. Need to sign up early.

The day before Thanksgiving you can get a full plate of Low Country Boil absolutely free. Thanks right - you-peel-'em shrimp, potatoes, corn on the cob and sausage. Eat outside by the bar with live music. Great evening!

My husband and I visited the Salty Dog on our second trip to Hilton Head Island. Although November is the off-season for the Sea Pines area, we had a great time at the Salty Dog and would make it a regular place for lunch or dinner if we lived on Hilton Head Island. We enjoyed our meal of hush puppies... More

When in HHI, you must visit the Salty Dog. The food is pricey, but good. The views are great and the whole experience at South Beach Marina is pretty cool. We always top off a visit to the Salty Dog with a stop at the Salty Dog T-Shirt shop to pick up our SDC T-Shirts.
