Finally tried The Salty Dog

We finally made it to the Salty Dog; we missed it last time at Hilton Head. Outdoors offers nice view of harbor. Drinks were good as was the she crab soup I got as an appetizer. We both got the grouper sandwich on the hoagie bun; it was huge! Very satisfying. Service was good; would definitely... read more

It was a busy day but the team was fast and on the ball. One female server saw a rain storm coming in and moved us to a better spot at the bar. We chose the shrimps from the BBQ and they were divine. Thanks guys for a great evening. Joseph took care of us too...

We have been going to HHI for 20+ years and our week would not be complete without a visit or two to the Salty Dog. We love the peel and eat shrimp, the burgers, the live entertainment and just the atmosphere. Happy hour is great and the best part: you can take a trolley to and from so no one... More

We went on a Friday night so we had to wait an hour for a table, but it was worth it. We ate outside. There were a lot of knats but they provided bug spray.

Casual family dinner with a variety to satisfy all. A touristy place that meets the needs of almost all . A very nice experience .

It was a rainy Friday so we decided to head over to Sea Pines to check out Salty Dog for lunch...everyone has the shirts so it has to be good, right? We had a party of 11. Our waitress was efficient. I got the she crab soup and shrimp salad on bread. The she crab soup was good. I wouldn't... More

We got there at around 430 for an early dinner, we still had to wait almost 2 hours to get seated. We knew this was a favorite restaurant for HHI and were prepared for a wait. Luckily there are other things around to do while you wait, shops and an outdoor bar for drinks. The transponder works in all of... More

My grandson and I stopped here because he wanted to go to the Salty Dog Store for a shirt so we had lunch too. Cute place with lovely views. The She Crab soup was very good as was the crab cake sandwich. Good selection of frozen bar drinks. If you are staying on the Island it would be a good... More

Excellent, well made drinks by Glenn and Seth. Will be back. One thing I would improve as an owner, install much more efficient fans inside the outside bars for the bartenders and bar backs. They bust their humps In this ungodly heat and deserve some basic comfort. They are so passionate about their jobs and deserve to work in a... More

What is all the hype about with this restaurant?! Waitress was not awesome, food was not awesome... We ordered calamari and it was served with ranch... Ranch dressing...in my opinion that's a really lame sauce for calamari. She crab soup was the best part of my meal... I travel and eat out quite often and was very unimpressed with this... More
