Great food!

No reservations so get there early. We went early and they were able to seat all 21 of us. Good food and good service! Of course the kids love the t-shirts!

We went because we heard great things. Ended up being a big tourist trap at Sea Pines. They will charge you to enter Sea Pines if you are not staying there, do not try to take bikes, it is a hike to the end of Sea Pines. We waited one hour to get a table and the food was subpar.... More

We had lunch here, and the food and service were great considering how busy they were. It's located in South Beach with other restaurants and other shops which was great for our kids. My husband I went back the same day just for drinks with friends, and again it was crowded but very relaxing. Would def come back here...

Since we have been going to Hilton Head eating at the Salty Dog has become a must. As in the past another great meal in a beautiful setting. Especially good are the shrimp toast and fish and chips. A few tips for newcomers: 1) try and get there before 4 pm, you pay lunch prices and the portions really seem... More

I have lived on HHI my whole life, and salty dog is one of those places I hardly ever find myself eating or drinking at...-But I had some family in town that insisted on going. So we drank margaritas had a blast, and our bartender Glenn was 90% percent of the reason I am rating 5 stars. He kept us... More

Amazing drinks, great service, amazing location.....mediocre bar food. We loved the logo (we bought a hat and shirt after eating here), loved the drinks and loved the location, but the food was disappointing. It's bar food quality and we didn't eat our plates; we took 2 bites of it and left it--that's how much we didn't care for it.

The restaurant is located in an area that requires a $6 pass to drive in! We've never experienced that before. It also gets you to Harbour Point too though so just plan to do both one evening. The food was very good and our waitress was excellent. The bar waiters outside while we waited were very good as well. The... More

My family ate here while on vacation. It's a typical tourist trap. We waited approximately 2 hours for a table. The area immediately surrounding the main building consists of primarily gift shops. In their defense, the food was very good. However, the menu was pretty generic. The waitstaff was very courteous and bent over backwards to ensure that guests had... More

A Hilton Head institution. If you go to Hilton Head you'll notice many tourists in their Salty Dog ts-and there's a reason. Just about every family stops by the restaurant during their stay on the island. And just about every family member who has been there wants to bring a t shirt home. There's a nice outdoor seating area as... More
