Old Fort Pub is a charming restaurant with one of the best views on Hilton Head Island. Perched on the banks of the Intra-coastal Waterway, it showcases unrivaled nightly sunsets and a rich history. So named for the adjacent Civil War shore battery, Fort Mitchel, the restaurant’s foyer is decorated with historic photos depicting the “War of Northern Aggression". Previously featured on The Food Network and in other notable publications, the Old Fort Pub has become a tradition for over 35 years. Guests enjoy Chef Keith Josefiak’s “New Southern” favorites inspired with influences from around the globe. An excellent choice for a celebrating a birthday, holiday or a romantic evening.

Don’t let the name fool you, Old Fort Pub is not just any run of the mill “pub”. While vacationing in Hilton Head last weekend with good friends, the concierge at the Marriott's Grande Ocean recommended dinner here at sunset. We were all delighted, and honestly could not have been more pleased with our dining experience. The food was fresh,... More

When the weather cooperates, The Old Fort Pub is a serene place for an evening cocktail watching the setting sun. Sunsets can be spectacular on the right night. Needless to say our visit was on a cold rainy Wednesday. The staff didn't have much to look forward to but that didn't affect their spirits. The service was impeccable as always.... More

We had heard that the Old Fort Pub was the place on Hilton Head Island to go for sea food. We arrived as the last glows of sunset faded from Skull Creek and the view from the large windows overlooking the creek grew dark. Jim our waiter was extremely friendly and introduced us to the menu. The creamed she crab... More

This was recommended by the concierge at our hotel. For a non-Hilton Head resident, it wasn't easy to find, especially in the dark. But, it's a very pretty setting and would be great for seeing sunsets, if you arrive in time. They were running a special the night we were there, and we were able to have 3 courses for... More

Ate early so we could watch sunset over the marsh. One of our favorites in HH and in winter they always have a great deal, 3 courses for $33. Food was excellent, service attentive but not intrusive.

Recently visited the Old Fort Pub with family and friends as we always make a visit there when on Hilton Head Island. I have always been pleased with the food, service and view but I was let down on this last visit. I always use their she crab soup as a measure for other restaurants and none have met it... More

We would like to thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback regarding your most recent visit here. We set our service standards high and rudeness is never acceptable. We are so sorry this was part of your experience. The pot roast is extremely popular and we have corrected the issue, thank you for pointing it out.... More

We dined here during restaurant week with another couple and selected the three course menu. Staff were efficient and friendly and meals were served in a timely fashion without appearing to hurry us along. Dining menu highlights were the perfectly cooked, deliciously tender Filet Mignon and the chocolate dessert with sugared coffee beans, an absolute delight! The wine list although... More
