Taste New Orleans in South Carolina!

If you want excellent food with a New Orleans flair, try Kenny B's! My favorite dish is Taste of the Bayou (includes Jambalaya, shrimp creole, shrimp étouffée, and red beans and rice, plus an ear of corn and a slab of wonderful cornbread). We had lunch here the first day we arrived on HHI. We've been here a few times in the past and have always enjoyed it. It's pretty small and sometimes crowded, but the food is really good. I had the grouper melt and my husband had a shrimp poboy. The rice and beans side was just OK. The kids had... More

My father was a regular at Kenny B's on Sundays for the brunch. My family and I stumbled on to Kenny B's when I was living in HHI. My husband is from Louisiana so we had to try it. It doesn't look like much-a small place in a strip mall with some outside seating, but when you walk inside, you... More

We are locals and taking a break from Kenny B's. Every time after waiting in line, upon finally being our turn to order, the person at the counter says "just a second" and either runs off to do something else, or stands there running the register tape, or moving stuff around while everyone is waiting. EVERY TIME. Whether its December... More

Found this place a few years ago, and it has been the first place we visit on our annual trips to the island. The food is exceptional--from sandwiches to platters. This visit, we had catfish po'boy, oyster po'boy, crab sandwich, and a burger platter. The portions are huge, as 2 of us shared the catfish po'boy & sides. It's a... More

Man I love this kind of restaurant not flashy but darn tasty food. If your a sophisticated food hippie you probably won't like it, but for hood fun food come here...it's a little hard to find and a bit small but that's just all apart of the ambiance of the place...love it

In order to practice for an upcoming trip to New Orleans, a group of us local senior bikers bopped into to Kenny B's for breakfast one day... and we're all happy that we did. Now, this place is a little different than your normal breakfast and lunch restaurants. First off, it's not too big, not a lot of seating, just... More

After being away from Hilton Head for over 10 years, this is our first stop back (yes, a returning customer!). As we remember it, same location and the food is great. Large portions and priced well. Tried the étouffée, red beans & rice, jambalaya, etc. it was all tasty except for two areas of why I'm not rating it a... More

We always make Kenny Bs a stop on vacation to Hilton Head and are never disappointed by the food. However the popularity of it and small store front will now discourage us from coming back. Which is a shame. The ordering process creates a long line that runs straight into the restaurant. This time it was out the door. There... More

thank you for making Kenny b's a stop on your vacation, and for a review that I will simply use to educate others, that as a tourist destination island, this whole island is very busy in the summer months. We actually have 44 seats inside, and many more outside. AS WE ALL WOULD LOVE FOR IT TO BE 7O DEGREES... More

The gumbo and etouffee were very good, just a bit too salty for my taste. Portions were quite large so we carried out. On another day I ordered the crawfish and she-crab soups for take-out. Both containers could have been fuller. The meats in the soups didn't appear to be that fresh and again, both soups were very salty. If... More
