You don't think of seafood when you think Southwest, but Santa Fe does it all very well. It is one of the most consistent restaurants on the island (has been consistently good for years). Prices have gone up a bit, but there is a nice early bird special rate.

I enjoyed the décor, the taco encrusted salmon with mango salsa, served on top of a bed of lettuce, and the outdoor bar with live southwestern music!!!

I went here with my wife and two daughters. Restaurant has a great southwestern atmosphere and outdoor rooftop bar. The prices per dish were 20-30% more than I would expect, however, I think this is the case across Hilton Head Island restaurants. All-in-all, it's worth a visit, just be prepared to pay.

During our annual vacation to HHI the Better Half and I had dinner at Santa Fe Cafe. Upon arrival the Host offered us the option of sitting at the Cook's Table, a bar in front of the wood fired grill where the Chef's prepare plates. After beginning with a couple of Cadillac Margaritas and some guacamole with chips, we decided... More

If you're going to spend this kind of money, please find somewhere else to go. That's the bottom line. To be fair, the quail is very good, although by the end the maple syrup dominates. The chimichanga is adequate but not anything you can't find for less than half the price elsewhere. The chicken fajitas are a disaster, especially at... More

The last few years the cafe has created an area where you can watch the chief cooking. You may learn a thing or two while enjoying a fantastic dinner.

We really enjoyed the meal. I highly recommend the Chicken Fajitas and the Guacamole dip appetizer. The margaritas were excellent as well.

Once again we enjoyed a great meal at this restaurant. Service was great and the staff were helpful and friendly. We liked sitting at the bar and watching our food prepared. (Due to not making reservations, we were given these seats). As we are regular visitors to Hilton Head, I will definitely return to Santa Fe! Please try the scallops--remarkable!

Good thing we reserved...place was packed with mostly adults savoring a very decent selection. Had the appetizer sampler, then an excellent pork tenderloin special, wood grilled quail stuffed with cornbread, quesadilla special, and chargrilled pork. Service was friendly and speedy. One hour start to finish.

We have been coming to Hilton Head since the late 70's and have never eaten at the Santa Fe cafe. It has been an island establishment for years. I had heard from friends and family that it was great but we figured it had lots of tourists and have never felt the need to visit. Well we have been missing... More
