We bring the very best of Southwestern culture and cuisine home to the Lowcountry. Our menu has been an Islanders" preferred dining spot for over 20 years and with dishes like our famous grouper, to our bone-in cowboy cut black angus ribeye, our outrageous chimichanga to even lobster fajitas, we're sure to have a new favorite waiting for you. From the sounds of the live Ranchero guitar player to the smells rising from our mesquite grill, Santa Fe Cafe is a much welcomed reprieve for the senses. Even when you're outside underneath the stars on our Rooftop Cantina, we've got you covered.

Great Mexican Food

The service was very good. The food was excellent. The Ribeye Burrito was excellent. My wife had the chicken fajitas. They were good. Chicken was served on the bone. Prices were a little on the high side but not terribly. Overall a very good experience. Definitely will come back again.

Saw that the restaurant had a roof top bar with music and decided to visit. It rained and no music this night but the food & service were great. We had drinks during happy hour at reasonable prices and were bowled over with the menu! Most items are mesquite wood grilled. We shared three appetizers; Ceviche with shrimp & bay... More

We booked last minute reservations and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere and staff was great. Our waitress was fantastic and the food outstanding. Will make this a regular stop when we return.

We were pleasantly surprised with the interior décor and the second floor outdoor patio and bar. We happened to get there just in time for the early bird special - great value if you like the choice of 5 entrees. Outrageous Chimichanga was a hit -- not too greasy or fried tasting. Definitely get the Painted Desert soup - it... More

My wife and I enjoyed this restaurant. We had Bently Margaritas which were served in a water glasses. Plentiful and yummy. My wife had a rib eye burrito. This burrito was awesome. Humongous without rice. Just steak, chicken, black beans and cheese. I had a grilled chicken fajita with a side of black beans. Again, the presentation was much different... More

Dined with wife and son week after Easter. A welcome change from many average seafood restaurants in the area. We sat at the Chef's Bar ( a bar that faces chef finishing plates). It's the only reservation we could get that day, but we liked sitting there and watching all the dishes being plated. Wonderful guacamole. I had pork verde,... More

Santa Fe is a staple for us each time we are in Hilton Head. We go once or twice each visit. Our favorite dishes are the Rib Eye Burrito and the Grouper. Guacamole is to die for! The service is always wonderful.

This place was fantastic- from the atmosphere to the quick service, to the fantastic food. The server was top notch, and he made a mean drink. We did the early bird special for 20 bucks for three courses and loved it. I had a fantastic caesar salad, the chimichanga, and the churros. Plus chips and salsa and a margarita. My... More

I'm a local and this is one of the island's jewels. My partner and i went tonight and sat at the chef's bar because it's always fun to watch the dishes being prepared. I will warn you that those bar stools are hard, really hard, but still fun. My partner had the sampler platter which is a great way to... More

Just had dinner this evening. We sat at the chefs table, or really chefs bar. Most of the food is prepared there in from of you. The main bar looked like it also had a great atmosphere. The menu options were great. You can get anything from fajitas to a great steak. I had the stuffed quail. Defiantly recommend that.... More
