Great food and service

Brought my wife and 4 young kids and had a great meal along with excellent service. My kids loved the grilled shrimp and the Shrimp and Grits and Fried Green Tomatoes were the perfect low country food my wife and I were looking for. This is the type of place you look for as you search through reviews. Great food and fun cocktails. Don't leave Hilton Head without trying at least once.

Always a great meal here...had lunch here for this 3rd time on a recent trip to Hilton Head. Had the fried green tomato BLT and it was so good I had to eat the whole thing! Very flavorful Lowcountry cuisine which I miss so much in California. Three of us in my part and everyone was thrilled with their meals!

It is worth the wait. I have had brunch and dinner here and they were both excellent. The dinner food is pretty heavy and filling so don't go on a half empty stomach. Go when you are starving. I had the Fried Green tomato salad and my husband had the shrimp and grits. Both dishes were large portions that could... More

Since the LCBY is a rather small place, we arrived at 11:45am for lunch. We had the Shrimp & Grits, Fried Flounder Sandwich, and two Charleston Fried Green BLTs. All was excellent. Finished with the Banana Pudding and Key Lime Pie, again both where super.

My husband & I ate here this week. We had the homemade Lowcountry pimento cheese & May River blue crab dip for appetizers. Both were wonderful. I had Dad's Baked chicken noted as "this is the house favorite.". The chicken was moist but lacked flavor & the skin was not at all tasty/edible. I scraped it off. My husband had... More

A Lowcountry Backyard was nothing short of fabulous! Our server, Maggie, was very attentive & kind. The other staff were also very concerned about making is feel special and comfortable. When my toddler began saying "Eat, Eat!", the hostess offered to get him a side since our wait was an hour long. The wait was WELL worth it. We ordered... More

Our party of six arrived here at 530pm after reading the previous reviews. The place is tucked away from the road and a bit hard to find. In fact, we drove past it the first pass. We waited approximately 30 minutes and had a couple drinks from the small bar in the back. There was a large bench out front... More

They open for dinner at 4:30 and get busy for the night. I recommend arriving at 5:00 as there is usually a wait of 30 to 120 minutes. There are not really any shops to kill time while you are waiting for your table but the backyard has some lawn games and there is a small bar in the yard... More

This is a very popular, busy little place and it's easy to see why. The food, service, ambiance are all outstanding. We lucked in to being able to sit at the bar (first come, first serve) and was waited on by the effervescent Kim. She was very knowledgeable about the menu, including gluten free options, and steered us in a... More
