Eat the best sandwich you'll ever have; buy the coldest local or imported beer you'll ever drink; rent the best fishing charter guide you'll ever need; arrange to ride horses on the beach; and indulge yourself in conversation with the nicest owners of any establishment you'll ever enter, period.

My family and I recently stayed at Harbor Island. March Tacky was just down the street so we gave it a try. Are we glad we did!! Nice folks and great sandwiches!!! I highly recommend the LimeHouse panini...yum! And the boiled peanuts were awesome!!!

We stopped in late one evening last summer for ice cream. It was great! The staff was so friendly and very helpful with recommendations on where else to eat while vacationing near Beaufort. Also, got some great tips on stores in Beaufort to visit. Cute little store with great staff.

We decided to see what Marsh Tacky had to offer and we were impressed! There is basically everything you need packed in to this tiny store including a frozen yogurt bar! They have groceries, toiletries, beer/wine, souvenirs, take-out food and frozen yogurt. They are SUPER friendly!!! We will definitely go back.

Stopped in and met the owner and his good looking grill assistants Shep & Wes. :) Enjoyed a wonderful grilled panini made with pimiento cheese & bacon with hot pepper jelly. Took home some hot boiled Cajun peanuts and an imported 6 pack to go. Nothing "tacky" about this place! It's actually named after a special horse breed, the marsh... More

Bobby is the best. He is very customer service oriented. He goes out of his way to make sure you like your food. He works hard to make sure your food is fresh and delicious! His grilled donuts are out of this world. The cafe/market has lots of neat selections. We first went a yr ago after he first opened... More

Stopped by for soft serve ice cream after dinner at Johnson Creek. Great ice cream and service! Family friendly. Breakfast and lunch menu looked great-- just sorry we didn't make it back to try one!

Sandwiches here are as good as it gets. Fresh and made to order, without the Subway chemical preservatives. Great people, the owners. The store has an amazing variety of stock for a small building. Good luck, and we'll be back soon.

My husband and I stopped in by accident when I saw the sign at the last minute. We were pleasantly surprised with the owner, who was a down to earth guy who obviously enjoyed pleasing people. My husband ordered a club house. (I know.....pretty boring right?) Remember before the days of whimpy two pieces of toast with a slice of... More

Stopped for lunch from Fripp. Sandwich good but no extras like chips or pickle. Chef salad mostly lettuce. So a little pricey, for a $10 lunch. Interesting stuff in store. Outside seating only. Would go back but not in a hurry to do so. Hope they make a few changes so will be a destination stop.
