Stopped here go lunch on the way to Asheville, NC. The roast beef sandwich was just right, onion rings were big and fat and the cole slaw was excellent. A lot of locals there--all of us sitting around connected counters. The server took great care of us. I would have given 5 stars for better seasoning in the onion ring... More

Great food and chill vibe. Definitely brings you back! I enjoyed my burger and the half and half is a great compromise! Someone recommended I get sprite with cherry and I'm so glad I did! I also got some cool photos in as well! I'm glad I stopped in!

I started going to the Dixie back in 1987 as I started college. The Dixie had the best burgers and fries in town back then and it still does today! Most people get the Dixie cheeseburger "1/2 and 1/2" meaning 1/2 French fries and 1/2 onion rings. I always go with all fries and the Dixie cooks them up to... More

I love the food, always have but after the horrible way your RUDE servers treated an obviously homeless customer who PAID for his own meal I might add, I WILL NEVER GIVE ANOTHER DIME OF MY MONEY TO SUCH A HEARTLESS PLACE!! Then tostand there and talk about him with other customers and laughing in his face , SHAMEFULL you lost... More

Nostalgia at it's best. The Dixie has been around forever. Every town has one, your parents used to hang out way back when they were dating, the burgers are the same, great onion rings, everyone knows each other, and and and. There's something comforting about sitting at a counter and eating. Your drinks are constantly being refilled by waitresses that... More

The whole town loves the burgers at the Dixie. It has been around for many many years and is a pretty popular spot. It has the bar stool type atmosphere and the service is always good. They have awesome homemade BBQ sauce. I usually dip my French fries in it.

I've been going to the Dixie since the 70s and remember Pete and Perry, the original owners, like it was yesterday. The new owners are not too friendly (at all) so thank goodness Gary is still there. The burgers have long since gone downhill but the 1/2 and 1/2 is worth whatever they're charging these days.Their sodas are the best... More
