Larkin’s on the River is an award-winning restaurant serving premium cut steaks, fresh seafood, and fine wines. Every menu item is created with the freshest ingredients and served with a creative flair. Larkin’s on the River at the Peace Center for the performing arts, is situated in the heart of downtown Greenville, along the banks of the Reedy River, in the old Gower Coach Factory. This is the only building remaining of the original eleven dating back to Civil War. With beautiful preserved exposed brick walls and open ceilings, the history of the building serves as the perfect backdrop to the modern and hip atmosphere Larkin’s on the River offers.

Classic Steakhouse with Modern Comfort

We choose to try Larkins because of its great reviews, and we were not disappointed. The menu is classic high-end steakhouse fair (even table side Caesar salads), but there's no stuffy men's club feel about the place. We took menu advice from our server (which you always should do) and had the... read more

Love Larkin's and never had a bad meal nor a bad experience. Wait staff is all friendly and knowledgeable but best of all is they offer gluten-free options for those of us on special diets. They were also very accommodating for me who is also dairy free. Love sitting out on their patio overlooking the Reedy River to dine, also.... More

By far, I would rate this as the best meal we have had in downtown Greenville. Everything was cooked perfectly, timed well, and not rushed. The waitress was friendly, yet professional, and the manager took the time to talk to every table. The only grievance I have is the bartender, who seemed to have somewhat of an attitude when we... We had lunch here during a business trip - the service was great, and the Monte Cristo and Crème bullae cheesecake was awesome!

Ambiance is wonderful. Views of the river area...and sculpture...service excellent...restaurant was busy and we sat in the enclosed terrace...with added heat we were very comfortable. An excellent date night and place to take guests.

This place is delicious! Pretty expensive but worth it! If you like she-crab soup you have got to go here ASAP and have some! It is perfection!

We had lunch before a performance at the Peace Center. Our waiter was excellent as was the atmosphere and food. Shrimp and Grits were steaming hot, spicy and delicious as was the Monty Cristo Sandwich. Very pleasant experience

Dined for lunch with my spouse. The Monte Crisco Sandwich was 90% bread, 9% cheese and 1% ham. My spouse ordered the crab cake, which was basically a cake of filler saturated in lemon to the point that there was no crab taste whatsoever (not sure there was any crab meat in it). Save your money, there are plenty of... More

Terrific food, large portions, excellent wait staff. There is a secret elevator from the restaurant to the Peace Center. Plan your Before The Show Dinner here! That and valet parking too.
