Larkin’s on the River is an award-winning restaurant serving premium cut steaks, fresh seafood, and fine wines. Every menu item is created with the freshest ingredients and served with a creative flair. Larkin’s on the River at the Peace Center for the performing arts, is situated in the heart of downtown Greenville, along the banks of the Reedy River, in the old Gower Coach Factory. I recently had a business opportunity to have supper at Larkins on the River and thought it was too good to pass up. I'm glad I didn't. I'm not going to get into a lot of the specifics of the dinner, but I will hit the highlights. It was a business dinner with a party of 16. We had a... More

Beautiful restarant with a great setting on river. I had been told by many others that this was the place to go. It's very pricey so you would expect excellent service. Our server was very sweet and she did a good job but the kitchen had some problems that night. One of our guests steak came out completely cold and... More

This is the place we always come to for excellent steaks cooked to perfection. I have also had the bass which is fantastic. You can't go wrong here. The she crab soup is wonderful . We have never had an experience here that was less than perfect. I really enjoy the slower rate in which your food is brought to you.... More

I pride myself in picking hotels and restaurants - was expecting this to be an awesome experience as we were doing an early Valentine's dinner and stay at a B&B in Greenville. The food at Larkins did not disappoint, but for the price, we expected much more attentive service. Waiter was nice enough - no problems there - just didn't... More

It is disappointing that the location of your table in the restaurant affected how you enjoyed your dining experience. We do allow guests to request specific tables and we do our best to honor these requests. With eight booths in the restaurant and many guests celebrating with pre-Valentines dinners, these tables filled with requests. If you would like to give... More

We had a rather large party & reservations for our business trip to Greenville. Were seated promptly, but the service went downhill from there. The food was good, but not great. All of my party of 8 had to beg to receive drink refills, asking for more bread or butter got you a glare (and by the way, the bread... More

Had dinner at Larkins last Saturday nite...It had been at least six months since we ate there last. Unfortunately, from the moment we got there for an 8;00PM reservation, things were slooow. We were promptly seated but it took 15 minutes to get water poured and an introduction from the waiter. Before that 15 minutes was up, I went to... More

We have no excuse for slow service as we train our staff not only to promptly greet guests but also on the fine points of service throughout the meal. We are very sorry there were service issues with your meal. We... More

Great location on the river with a large outdoor patio, as it was March we were inside. Very comfortable dining area with a mix of wide comfortable booths and tables. Service was unhurried and staff was friendly and professional. Best She Crab Soup ever.

The shrimp and grits were awesome! A little spicy, but they were good! We ate at lunch, right before there stopping time for after lunch crowd. Took a bit to figure out where to seat us because they weren't staffed for us even though there were many open seats. Price was average $$ for the down town eateries. I would... More
