Steak, This Is the Place

Steak was best you will find anywhere outside a major city. Cooked at 1700 degrees, it was tender and juicy. Filet Mignon the best. Bread was very good. Warm and crusty. Could probably serve some flavored whipped butter, but butter pad was soft and easy to spread. Sides were made for two or more... read more

Ok, upon entering we did smell the tobacco smoke as mentioned and there was one fellow smoking a cigar as is allowed but upon arriving at our table it was no longer noticeable. We had many servers and they were all friendly and efficient. The food was excellent, my husband said the salmon was to die for! As the evening... More

This was not our first time at this establishment. Our memories are better than our experience this time. The food was very good! The cut of meat one of the best! The seafood bisque was fabulous as was the cheese mashed potatoes. However, the grated cheese on the Caesar salad seemed like it came from a jar... should've had some... More

Hi Lynne, We strive for everything to be top notch, as you stated, so to know that the carts, smoke and pace of your service made you unhappy is disappointing. I have passed your feedback on to management. Thank you for visiting. More

Last night our family celebrated my younger son's 21st birthday. Siblings had come from Atlanta, Columbia, Greenwood, and Due West. Everyone was ready to celebrate our youngest turning 21. Chophouse 47 exceeded all expectations. Our server, "Shawn", was excellent. She was always available. She was energetic and gave great suggestions. The entire meal was one that is already a cherished... More

This has the feel of a big city steakhouse without the need valet parking. Great atmosphere, 1940's vibe. Half moon booths with black and white photos on the wall and bottle of wine all over. Good menu, limited but that keeps everything fresh. We started w/ the special, soft shell crab \w/ lump crab meat, very good. We also had... More

Good night out with the lady to enjoy an evening. Steaks came as ordered and the starters were outstanding. Good wine list with several great selections.

I moved to the area about four years ago. Chop was one of the first restaurants I visited and is still my favorite. The service, atmosphere and are always on point!

Walked in and the smoke from the cigars hit me in the face. My wife and I were overwhelmed by the nasty smoke- it literally burned our eyes during the meal. Management must do something about this. Overall, service was great, food was the same. Chicken and salmon were very good, spoiled slightly by the annoying smoke. On way home,... More

We had our company Christmas dinner here and it was really good. Vibrant sort of steakhouse feel, loud but you can still here your tables conversation. Steaks were perfectly cooked, sides were good. The creamed spinach was a fail however, had an assertive flavor of either clove or nutmeg, possibly cinnamon, not good. Service was ok, our server was obviously... More

I'm not a beef person, but it was a special occasion. I had the special soft shell blue crabs - they were delicious. My wife had a steak and seemed to enjoy it. Also has the creamed spinach - also very good. The Chophouse is the most expensive restaurant in Greenville. There are other good restaurants in Greenville, so I... More
