The food was great, I had the shrimp and grits and others tried the duck and we all agreed it was quite good. The service was excellence!

We were lucky to score a window table overlooking the riverwalk and it was lovely. Really current decor. Nice bar. Excellent food with some unusual options. The trout was great. My friend had duck which was amazing. The quail starter, also delicious. The maverick red wine made 'just for them' was comparable to many wines I've had for twice the... More

Was on a business trip and stopped in High Cotton for dinner. Sat at the bar. Service was great and the bartender was extremely friendly. I ordered an "Old Fashioned" to drink and it was one of the BEST I've ever had. I also ordered the carpaccio for an appetizer (was OK), but the highlight of the meal was the... More

Ate brunch on a Sunday and ordered eggs benedict. The ham was old, dry, smelled, and was way way salty! Ham was NOT edible. Not worth the $12 cost although service was excellent. Manager came by to ask how meal was, and comp'd the benedict due to the disgusting ham - although he insisted their ingredients were always fresh. Maybe... More

I just don't understand how this establishment can pull off being upscale. Yes the location is incredible in Greenville. Yes the lights and layout are nice. However, the food quality and service are very low end. The servers are all "one step up from low end" wait staff. Their knowledge of wines, the menu particulars, chef specialties, etc., are minimal.... More

Dinner was fantastic. They were told about our anniversary by the hotel and mentioned it along with a comp dessert! Rack of lamb was delicious and my wife's fillet was perfectly cooked.

We stopped by High Cotton for drinks and a quick bite before going to a wedding. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the company of the other guests and bartender. The service was very good and we enjoyed our selection of appetizers. We will definitely be back when we are in town again.

I've dined at High Cotton in Charleston and it was fabulous - like a photocopy of an original, the Greenville version didn't quite live up to the original. My son and I went for seafood, but the limited selection didn't appeal to either of us - so we had steaks instead. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were... More

Loved the food and atmosphere. Had the Shrimp & Grits which was delicious. Had just enough spice to give it a bit of a kick without going for your water glass. My husband had the hamburger and said it tasted like ground steak. His fries were crunchy too for being hand cut. The cornbread just melted in your mouth! Outstanding... More

This was a nice little bistro type atmosphere with good and service. We sat at the bar and easily engaged with the other guests that were all locals. Will definitely eat here again.
