Really good food

They just opened so it was a little crazy! Very crowded but we still got good service, and we loved our meal. I had the filet which was cooked perfectly and my husband raved about the lamb chops. Our favorite side was the pepper jack grits.

Halls is hands down the best in Greenville. We have dined at the Charleston location and were extremely excited to learn of their opening in Greenville. Despite knowing exactly what to expect from Halls, our first dining experience was even better- above and beyond. Not long after being seated we were personally greeted by one of the owners and shortly... More

Dinner at Halls Chophouse was one of the top 5 meals we've ever had in Greenville. The food and service were superior to 95% of the restaurants here in Greenville.

My husband and I visited Halls for a date night. Their location in Charleston has been a favorite of ours so we were excited they were opening here! The bar and restaurant were both very crowded but we still had top notch service from the moment we arrived. Chelsea was our waitress and she was awesome! The food was delicious...perfect!... More

I can't say enough about how nice this restaurant was. First, the hostess welcoming us, was precious. She was warm and made us feel comfortable as soon as we walked in. My husband and I were celebrating our 17th anniversary. We were seated at a quiet spot, and served complementary champagne. We were greeted and checked on by many of... More

Loved the cozy atmosphere and music at high cotton after a show at the peace center. I enjoyed the grouper main dish and will go back again!!! The waitress forgot to bring our bread until she brought our meal but it tasted good.

We went to High Cotton for New Year's Eve dinner. Great building and ambiance, good professional service, but the food, while generally good, just wasn't up to fine-dining standards. Both our fish dishes were undercooked, soup was lukewarm, portions generally small... I know it was New Year's Eve, but the restaurant wasn't crowded so no excuses, it just fell short... More

My wife, two sisters, brother-in-law and I went to High Cotton for a nice NYE dinner. As other reviewers have already mentioned, the restaurant has a wonderful ambiance and view from its multiple levels. Our server was extremely polite and attentive to us throughout the dinner service. She wasn't the most knowledgable about the dishes or styles of preparation, but... More

High Cotton has been our go-to place in Greenville for special occasions, for several years. THEY NEVER FAILED TO MEET OUR EXPECTATIONS! Very good food, Great service. We understand that they will close January 4th and reopen the 17th as a Halls Chophouse. We were told that all of the staff is staying. Our one visit to Halls in Charleston... More
