We are adventurous, relatively healthy eaters, appreciative of clean, fresh cuisine utilizing local ingredients. Flavors are creative, fresh, robust, but nothing overpowering to the main dish. Great combination of spices, sauces to enhance the flavor of the main ingredient. We were a party of 7 and had the pork tenderloin, salmon, hanger steak, bacon mac n cheese, watermelon arugula salad... More

I love dining outside and Soby's offers a great experience in outside dining. The downtown area of Greenville is nice and Soby's is in the heart of this area. Started out with she crab soup that was outstanding and ordered the grouper and it was excellent as well. I will definitely visit Soby's the next time I am in Greenville... More

We were on town on business and surprised that such a sophisticated meal could be found in Greenville! Atmosphere inside is cozy & warm and outside was even better with great people-watching as crowds walk up and down Main Street. Music was great and at perfect volume to allow conversation. Our favorites were the shrimp & grits, the bacon-wrapped pork... More

Nothing really revelatory to say here about our experience that hasn't already been printed by the other rave reviews here. Though I was sure surprised to find as "first rate" a restaurant that I would expect to find in DC or Baltimore - here in Greenville SC. Way to go Greenville and to the owners - keep the good thing... More

I can't say enough good about Soby's! We had an absolutely wonderful experience on a beautiful evening, sitting outside. Our waiter, Hector, was fabulous and his recommendations were spot on! We loved the Fried Green Tomatoes and I had some of the best scallops I've ever eaten. It's a lovely spot in a lovely location and I couldn't recommend it... More

I had a great steak. Staff were helpful and with its European feel it made for a pleasant meal all round. I ate in a different Greenville restaurant every night for a month and Soby was in my top 3. Well done!

Our requested booth (quieter) was waiting for us. Our drinks were up promptly. She had a chocolate martini which was too sweet for me but she loved it. The warm rolls came with seasoned butter, followed by our fried green tomatoes, which were seasoned better than I can do at home. She loved her trout (two pieces) and my duck... More

My first time to Greenville and friends took us to Soby's, one of their favorite spots. Everything we ordered was wonderful. It was great fun to share dishes I was unfamiliar with — shrimp and grits, watermelon salad. I'm not into wine, but the rest of our party was. We tried a highlighted wine that was good. Then our waiter,... More

Food is absolutely delicious. Those who grade by quantity might be a bit disappointed however. Food is reasonably priced, but the wine menu is very expensive. Ambiance, & service was excellent. Highly recommend!
