Somewhat authentic , not quite there

We have friends that live in Stuttgart. Our teenage girls have not had a European experience yet though, so I thought we would give this place a try for some German American food. I was hoping at least they would have some sort of struedel. Wow, was i in for a pleasant surprise! The restaurant itself has an outdoor patio,... More

MY wife and I were staying in Greenville overnight and decided to try something different than my typical steak or seafood choices. Saw the excellent rating on Schwaben House and decided to give it a try. It was excellent and authentic. Salads were great with a mix of veggies and greens. My wife had the Weiner Schnitzel with German Potato... More

Like in 2014 I was for my company in Greenville. The quality of the german food has not changed since then and is still excellent . The waitress is very pretty and helpful. Also there ist a beautiful terrace behind the house so that you can eat outdoors if you want. it´s really a beautiful place!

If you are wanting to go to Germany to eat some German food or if you are German and crave some of your mother's home cooking, let me save you a lot of money. There is no need to fly some 4600 miles to get an authentic German meal. You can get all that you crave at the Schwaben House.... More

You have to order things on the Menu without substituting. Don't try to make any special requests or you will be treated like crap.... Food was good, did not care for the arrogant attitude ....

We ate at the new location one evening, it seemed before the people started arriving. It seems to be a later dining crowd. We chose the lesser expensve meals, and they were fine. You get a salad and the main course with a home made noodle. For a special occasion, it is good, but for casual dining it was more... More

Very good German food in Greenville, SC. My wife and I have been to Germany & Austria many times, and we finally found good German food locally. The staff was very attentive the evening was quite nice. We look forward to visiting there again soon!

Who would have thought you could get a genuinely German meal in Greenville! It was great. The beer was cold and the food was authentic. It is tucked away so keep your eyes out for it or you'll miss it.

Enjoyed an evening here recently with DH. Had no idea such a treasure was there on Laurens Road. Beautiful decor and romantic atmosphere. Service was professional and courteous. I loved the house salad and the red cabbage (thank you earlier reviewers for recommending the red cabbage!). I had weiner schnitzel--very good! DH had jaeger schnitzel--good, but weiner schnitzel much better.... More
