Authentic, personable fantastic!

My wife and I grew up in Germany. We found this place a couple of months ago, and have been back almost every week since. The spaetzle is perfect, the house salads are like being in Germany and everything we have had this far has been amazing! We are working our way through the dinner menu- but... read more

We had not been to the new location since Schwaben House moved. Read the great reviews & decided to try it again. We were very disappointed. Both ordered the schnitzel sandwich with potato salad side. Drank water. The bill was over $24 for lunch! Seemed a bit steep for the amount of food we received. The bun was a large... More

We took my parents to Schwaben House to celebrate their 63rd wedding anniversary. My dad is German and I knew he would appreciate authentic German food. We were not disappointed. Since it was Monday, there were just a few tables occupied when we arrived. Our server was informative, friendly and attentive. I had bacon wrapped chicken tenderloin, my husband and... More

Worth a trip to eat at Schwaben House! We had lunch of Maultaschen soup, house salad, Maultaschen served over German Potato Salad, Apple Strudel and cappuccino. The food is fresh and tasty! Great service! We did not feel rushed. This is German food at its' best! Very authentic! We drove two hours and will come again!

My husband and I are relocating to the Greenville area and were in town on business. Since we do not have a German restaurant where we currently live, we decided to give Schwaben House a try. We arrived at 5:30, got a quick and friendly greeting and was lucky enough to get two seats at the bar. The menu is... More

My husband and I decided to eat here for an early Valentines Day celebration. We had thought if going over the last several years but the old location was not convenient to our home. The new location is very close so we decided to go and we are so glad we did!! Food was authentic, servers friendly, nice selection of... More

From the moment I stepped inside the restaurant I knew it was going to be a true and total dining experience. It was like being swept away to some beautiful mountain resort. The admosphere was warm and inviting, the staff friendly. That was the way it was the first time I ever visited the restaurant and each visit has exceeded... More

Our family has been going to The Schwaben Haus for over 4 years now and for fine food and firendly and accomodating service, they are excellent! All the servers work together nicely and they make substitutions graciously. Monthly specials are always a treat, and in the fall they feature some really special main dishes such as Haxen... as good as... More

Wow, what happened to this place? We used to love the old location. They change chef, menu, and have one terrible waitress named Janice (this is what receipt said but just in case her name was something different, she is around 60, blonde hair, german, with glasses). We had dinner tonight, 1-29-15, and they were not very busy either so... More

It's a quite nice place. The Food is really good and you can find German draft beer. If you like Carpaccio, you have to try their recipe. Its really outstanding, same as the potatoe salad. The menu is small but they have enough options to satisfy all wishes. Try the bar if your dinning alone
