Crowded basement feel ....not so friendly entrance staff.

After agreeing to meet my office staff at this restaurant ...I was the first to arrive . ( very difficult parking area) I walked down the stairs And was asked if I had a reservation....which I did not and told them so. Very condescending and stressed out I was told we could not be accommodated and... read more

This was our first visit to this restaurant. We waited 45 min plus for delivery of our food....and we were starving! However, all 4 orders + soups were deemed excellent by my family; "worth the wait" as per my husband. Restaurant offers: extensive bar selections, Gluten free menu items, hipster wait staff, and a fun atmosphere (in a basement- lots... More

Started out on wrong foot by arriving in the afternoon after event at Peace Center by being told only appetizers available. Had checked the website and just mentioned open hours (something like 11-11). Previously had an early dinner on a Sunday. Then when we went to order drinks, they were out of everything. My husband had to pick different beer... More

We came for a late Valentines dinner. The restaurant is in a basement yet has a great Belgian European atmosphere. Many beers are available. The menu has a great selection from seafood, chicken, pasta and steaks. Among us we had the steak frites, the scallops, and chicken dishes. All were great. We were seated very quickly. Service was prompt, efficient.... More

Kind of a down under restaurant and bar, very pleasant with bar. Beet salad was really flavorful, service good. Would recommend highly and would definitely try again.

Everyone loves Trappe Door... you feel like you are in Europe. Everything is high end traditional, from the glassware to the decorations. the bartenders are ultra professional and knowledgeable. It is fascinating to watch them prepare drinks. Get there early... it fills quick.

Suffice it to say that it was last October when we found this place (with the usual assist from Trip Advisor) and we still rave about the dinner we had. Carbonades Flamandes 16 Traditional flemish beef stew cooked in belgian beer and served with a side salad and belgian frites. It was simply marvelous. The selection of Belgian beer was... More

This is the second time we've eaten there with a large group, and we've enjoyed both visits. As others have stated, it's in the basement of another restaurant and really gives you the feel of a European pub with the basement setting and the décor and exposed wood. They have a huge selection of beers, which seemed fairly pricey to... More

The Trappe door is in the basement of a building in downtown Greenville. The decor has a European old building feel. The food was very good, with the burgers being especially tasty. The fries come with a selection of dipping sauces. The draft list is quite extensive, with both domestic and imported Belgian style brews. A great stop, even with... More

3rd visit here for dinner. Nice ambience with good selection of beers. Mussels, coq au vin were good.
