This is the second time we've eaten there with a large group, and we've enjoyed both visits. As others have stated, it's in the basement of another restaurant and really gives you the feel of a European pub with the basement setting and the décor and exposed wood. They have a huge selection of beers, which seemed fairly pricey to... More

The Trappe door is in the basement of a building in downtown Greenville. The decor has a European old building feel. The food was very good, with the burgers being especially tasty. The fries come with a selection of dipping sauces. The draft list is quite extensive, with both domestic and imported Belgian style brews. A great stop, even with... More

3rd visit here for dinner. Nice ambience with good selection of beers. Mussels, coq au vin were good.

Visited the Trappe Door last evening with friends, had the usual fare .... sausages, salad, soup, etc. The soup was good - Ham and Potato chowder, and the hubs had the sausage platter. The fries with the special selections of dipping sauces were disappointing because the fries were cold and limp. Our friend ordered the fish and chips and said... More

This is a great little hid away place that we happened upon because the place we wanted to go was too crowded. There were six of us and everyone but I had a burger. I stepped out and had the meatloaf sandwich. It was very good. It came with fries and the fries came with three flavored mayonnaises in which... More

If you like Belgium Beer--this is your new favorite place. I didn't notice an odor, but it is down in a basement. The decor made me feel like we were eating in the middle of a pirate ship with wooden eating nooks. The service was great, and the food was pretty good too. But the real star here is their... More

We had lunch here while visiting. This restaurant is under ground in a cellar like location so smelled damp and old. Not my favorite way to appeal to my senses. The food was good... I would say fine but not overly memorable although we did not eat the sausage. I had the onion soup and farmers salad with chicken. It... More

This amazing Belgian restaurant in downtown Greenville has become our family's favorite for special occasions. The atmosphere reminds you of a beer or wine cellar, the food is always top notch and the service is superior. Their beer selection is extensive and the servers have always been very knowledgeable and able to guide us based on our varied taste preferences.... More

This is one of the coolest spots in Greenville. The selection of beer is unparalleled! Also, if you (or your significant other) are not into beer, they have an awesome method for ordering wine by the glass that allows to, in effect, get a glass out of any bottle of wine on the menu. The food is somewhat eclectic, but... More

Hands-down the best sausage I've had in the US--a must if you are missing England's no.1 comfort food, bangers and mash. Their creative twist of creamy brussel sprouts is delightful and pairs perfectly with the house made sausage. That said--the fries were disappointing as I was hoping for English style chips which were pictured on their website. The duck spring... More
