I ate here for the first time on Wednesday and the place was full! I had a reservation and was seated within 5-10minutes. The beer selection was great and the endless mussels were delicious! I definitely will be back!

Have eaten lunch and dinner here several times. The food is outstanding especially the traditional Belgian fare. Indeed for what it is worth the ethnic restaurants in Greenville are the pick of the litter.....fine dining, not so much. Crepes are unbelievable and the traditional European below street level rustic atmosphere is spot on! Visitors to Greenville....include a visit to The... More

We did not dine at this establishment, but enjoyed several beers here. The beers on tap are of good variety and we loved every one we tried. Definitely a nice range of different Beligian style beers, and the cocktails didn't sound half bad either. My fiance and I are suckers for Belgian beers, and this place provided exactly what we... We visited The Trappe Door not long ago, and found an excellent selection of Belgian food and beer in a nice decor. Mussels served in Belgian style pots were a highlight. But the service here was absolutely lousy. Getting a waiter to even take a drink order seemed a chore, and it took forever to get the food, with members... More

My wife and I stopped for lunch, the crepes were good but the chicken sandwich was disappointing. Based on that alone I would have just given 2 or 3 stars but the wait staff was excellent.

While in downtown Greenville, we ate at The Trappe Door. Our son had read about it and thought it would be a fun place to try. It was a very unique dining experience. The waiter was very helpful in offering suggestions from the menu. In our party, we had Brie as an appetizer, which was outstanding. We also had hamburger,... More

This review would be 2 stars if the service hadn't been quite good. I had the mussels and have to say, the sauce was completely flavorless, the mussels were overdone but not great quality to begin with. The fries were fine but the dipping sauces also lacked flavor. The beer appears to be a great selection, but I wasn't impressed... More

If you love Belgian beer and mussels, then The Trappe Door is the place to go. They always have a great selection of beer on tap and even more by the bottle. You can't go wrong with any of the mussels. Tuesday's are all you can eat mussels. Quickly becoming one of my favorite spots in Greenville.

The beer list was much more impressive than the limited food menu. The atmosphere was dark, and the food was just average.

Corvina is off the menu was wife's favorite item and the seafood pot dish has changed and doesn't sound as good as the previous one on the menu. The Carbonades Flamandes (Flemish beef stew) with flavored mayonnaises is still very good. Service was atrocious. My wife asked about desert and response was " we don't have that any more" and...
