We had lunch here while visiting. This restaurant is under ground in a cellar like location so smelled damp and old. Not my favorite way to appeal to my senses. The food was good... I would say fine but not overly memorable although we did not eat the sausage. I had the onion soup and farmers salad with chicken. It... More

This amazing Belgian restaurant in downtown Greenville has become our family's favorite for special occasions. The atmosphere reminds you of a beer or wine cellar, the food is always top notch and the service is superior. Their beer selection is extensive and the servers have always been very knowledgeable and able to guide us based on our varied taste preferences.... More

This is one of the coolest spots in Greenville. The selection of beer is unparalleled! Also, if you (or your significant other) are not into beer, they have an awesome method for ordering wine by the glass that allows to, in effect, get a glass out of any bottle of wine on the menu. The food is somewhat eclectic, but... More

Hands-down the best sausage I've had in the US--a must if you are missing England's no.1 comfort food, bangers and mash. Their creative twist of creamy brussel sprouts is delightful and pairs perfectly with the house made sausage. That said--the fries were disappointing as I was hoping for English style chips which were pictured on their website. The duck spring... More

Loved everything about this place. The beer list is unparalleled. The staff is very knowledgeable and great with recommendations on the catacomb of Belgian beers offered. I thought I had a fairly high beer IQ, but was humbled by the menu. Our waiter was spot on with his suggestions. It is in a basement and truly feels like a cozy... More

Had the fried oysters, short rib, and creme brule, all of which was properly executed and tasted amazing. Quaint restaurant that reminded me of some pubs I've been to back in Europe. Huge beer selection and a friendly staff. I will be back for the mussels to say the least! Great place to unwind with some amazing food and drinks.

Warm, inviting and a lovely casual buzz about the place but with an upscale food and beverage flair. The servers are well versed in the food and beers but are surprisingly equally as knowledgeable about the wines. The meal I had was the special for the night a pork loin with apple butter and leak mashed potatoes. So flavorful, I... More

The only fault with the Trappe Door is it is seemingly hard to find thhe first time you seek it, for it is only a (well marked) double door in the middle of other busy restaurants, including a sidewalk cafe. You walk down the stairs into a lively wood paneled area. Lots of good beers and ales, on tap and... More

My husband and I and another couple went for dinner on a weekend trip to Greenville. Both guys are beer lovers and wanted to go try the Trappist beers - they were not disappointed. The appetizers and dinner plates were portioned well and very tasty. The atmosphere was cozy and very cool. Great for a date night spot!
