I was looking for a different dining option for our Sunday lunch stop in Greenville. We were meeting friends who live in Asheville but agreed to meet us in Greenville while we were passing through on I-85. When I saw this place on tripadvisor, I thought it would be perfect. I did email the restaurant to make sure it was... More

I have visited the Trappe Door in downtown Greenville several times for lunch and dinner. I have been with my husband and with friends. On a side street off of Main St, the restaurant is located downstairs, underground. They use dark colors and heavy wooden tables. It's fun, and we really enjoy it. The atmosphere is casual and friendly, lively... More

What a nice option... Belgian food. It's tough to find options that hail from Europe without being Italian. The Trappe Door doesn't disappoint. The Flemish stew was delicious, hearty and flavorful. The beer selection was very good. I appreciated the inexpensive cost too!

This was an extremely disappointing meal after all of the good reviews. Both my wife and my beers, two each, were more head than beer. When I tried to say something, the waitress cut me off and said that is how beer is meant to be served before haughtily rushing off to converse with the hostess. Our entire meal passed... More

Great little place. I don't usually give a full 5 star rating, but this place deserves it. The food was amazing, prices fair and they had excelent beer on tap. The staff was also wonderful. I would recomend this resturant to anyone.

Stopped in for a snack and drinks. I have to say I'm not that impressed with Belgium Beer. It has a certain mystique which is deserved but as with most things the american craft beer industry is doing more exciting things and is not limited by antiquated guild laws which stifle creativity. We had the Ommengang Rare Vos and the... More

We tried this for lunch. What a treat! Belgium beers from Trappist monasteries. Interesting menu. For dipping the fries, different "flavors" of mayonnaise based dips. According to our server, this is the way Belgians dress up their fries. I'm not a mayo fan, so asked for regular ketchup. I tried the asparagus/shrimp crepe, my friend the chimay burger (she's on... a local bar tender gave us the tip, we love mussels & Brussels but a Belgian restaurant in greenville!?!?! what a treasure, traditional dishes, with creativity, done to perfection bar tender Matt is a riot, extremely knowledgeable & passionate. Killer beer selection, fine wine program + ridiculous absinthe service. Do your self a favor fall into the Trappe Door you... More

Fun time with family! Great service and great food. The beer menu is quite interesting but be prepared to lay down some cash.

This is one of the coolest restaurants I've been to. The ambiance is low key and relaxed. They have a wide variety of different fancy beers. To be honest I prefer standard lagers to what the trappe door has on tap but others might find the beer to be the highlight. The service was great. And really who cares about... More
