This riverside location in Greenville, SC boasts a riverside lower level indoor and outdoor dining option. Rain kept us indoors, but did not diminish the dining experience at all! We started with shared appetizers...fried brussels sprouts, fried goat cheese balls with honey, Mediterranean lamb stew...all fantastic even though the lamb dish could have used a bit more flavor. Main course... More

We had lunch here to celebrate a birthday. All of the food was good. It is more of an upscale place with a great view if you are sitting close enough to the windows. This is a nice place to go for a special occasion.

I would have preferred to send an email to the Lazy Goat rather than post to the public but I could not find an email address on their website for comments. We had a luncheon there on 6/20/15 with family who live in Greenville and friends in town on business. Based on the other reviews posted here, I can only... More

With a name like The Lazy Goat, you know this restaurant will be interesting. And it is. My wife and I visited for an anniversary dinner and thoroughly enjoyed their selection of small plates. A friend recommended the roasted brussel sprouts, and these are not the brussel sprouts your Mom made you eat before dessert. They are AMAZING! All of... More

i've been in Greenville now a bit over 3 years and for some reason I only just recently took myself to the Lazy Goat for lunch. SO glad Having been to many other Main Street eateries (primarily for lunch) I can say that the Lazy Goat is one of the finest in the downtown area. Let's start with the service.... More

Ask for a table outside (weather permitting) or downstairs with a view of the river. The meat and cheese course is lovely; make sure to add olives (quite good). There are many choices: from Tapas to fresh and local specials; everything delicious. The white sangria is especially refreshing; get the pitcher. Excellent wait staff are always present but in the... More

We tried to eat dinner at the Lazy Goat two times and both experiences were ridiculous. First off, the website says that the place "doesn't take reservations" and that you might sit with other people enjoying comraderie. We arrive and are told that there are no tables because all of the empty ones that we see are "reserved." Second, the... More

What a beautiful way to spend an afternoon - delicious food in a lovely setting by the river. We went for lunch - I highly recommend the Mediterranean Pimiento Cheese on Ciabatta bread - the waiter was kind enough to get the recipe from the chef when I asked! I thought it would be a well-guarded secret. We also both... More

The Mediterranean fare is both interesting and excellent. They do not have the traditional gyros, for example, but very inventive food that is also very tasty. I have noticed that everybody seems to have a different favorite. Mine was the brussels sprouts. The view both in and out is spectacular, but if the weather allows outside eating I strongly recommend... More

we wanted to try it based on a recommendation form a friend, but it was not as good as I expected. Service was very very slow, from greetings to asking for the check. I had to send my chicken back because it was bloody, I mean I like my chicken juicy but this was ridiculous. The server left us without... More
