Description: The Lazy Goat is a Mediterranean-themed restaurant with a menu featuring global influences from Spain, Morocco, Italy, France, Greece, Africa and the Middle East and a relaxed atmosphere where taking the time to "linger and share" is encouraged. The diverse menu was created to accommodate a variety of diner preferences with meat & cheese plates, small plates to “graze and nibble,” and main dishes. Guests are invited to take their time while "trying a little bit of that and a little bit of that" or a "whole lot of whatever they like".

Very disappointed. Aruggula salad was all arugula . Grilled pears???? I also ordered scallops which the waitress described on a bed of lentils. No! We realize this is tapas but don't make descriptions inaccurate!!!! Don't seat a couple beside a large party. We also had reservations and we had to wait for our table when there was nobody in the... Went on a Wednesday night and the place was packed. The room was very very noisy which made conversation at a table for six difficult. The "small plates" were larger than traditional tapas and at a higher price point. One end of the table ordered small plates and the other end ordered dinners. This made timing for the wait staff... This is our go to restaurant when we have people in town. The view is fantastic and the food is delicious. My best advice is to go at dinner instead of lunch - I'm not sure why, but the service is infinitely better.

We had reservations for a Friday night during restaurant week and upon arriving the reservations came in handy since the place was packed full except for the outside seating but it was to cool to dine outside. We were seated at a table for two with great views through the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the riverwalk. Everything we ordered... More

The food and wine are excellent. My husband & I enjoy tasting new things and sharing small plates. On our most recent visit we shared Toasted Garlic Shrimp, Roasted Mussels & Chorizo, Butternut Squash Risotto and the Moroccan Lamb-- each was tasty and perfectly proportioned!! We loved everything. The restaurant overlooks the river and it is fun to see tourists,... More

Solid food with a nice respite from all the fried and "new southern" that dominates the area's restaurants. Very competent table service, and pleasant experiences each time we've lunched and brunched in the dining room. However, each time we've eaten or simply cocktailed in the bar, the service has been a punch to the throat. Scowling, sloth-like bartenders every single... More

The view is great downstairs. We had a big group holiday lunch. The pimento cheese appetizer was good. The salad was OK. The deserts were awesome! Love the French coffee press too.

One of the things that struck me most in reading other reviews of this restaurant was the theme of either slow service or too much noise. I chalk up both these deviations to the atmosphere of the Lazy goat. A restaurant with a beautiful view and a laid back tapas attitude. I went here with a colleague one evening for... More

The Lazy Goat has a great riverside location and a tempting selection of widely varied small plate dishes. The wine list is constructed to complement the food very well.
