Good Food, Good View

A big plus for this restaurant is the great outdoor seating overlooking Greenville's River Place. We were there between lunch and dinner so, only a limited menu was available. Even so, the staff was very helpful and customized my wife's salad. While we didn't have access to the entire lunch or... read more

I ate lunch there with friends. The wait staff was excellent but the food was just average. Decor & atmosphere were interesting. Ask to sit by the window if you go.

Ate there twice in one week, food OK, service OK, View great. Only non domestic wine (e.g. no CA or OR wine) . Did not see a person of color serving or taking money in a city of 30% Black, unknown latino

We've eaten at The Lazy Goat many times and have always enjoyed it. We had friends coming to town on Easter Sunday and made reservations at The Lazy Goat. We walked around town first and then at 2 PM went over to the restaurant. We were seated quickly and of course had a wonderful view of the river, Peace Center... More

I was in Greenville on business and had the pleasure of dining at the Lazy Goat. It was a beautiful night in Greenville and I was lucky to get a patio table. I was eating alone, felt very comfortable and had a great river view. Server was very good in spite of the fact that was a large party on... More

Four adults and three kids for dinner. Sat inside but right on the river so a great view. Ordered several apps (goat cheese balls and humus were big hits) and dinners. Waiter (Guillermo) was great and brought hungry kids their pizza VERY quickly which was much appreciated. Paella was really good as was the Spanish Pizza. Other dishes seemed to... More

I guess that we had our hopes up when we dined at the Lazy Goat in Greenville, SC. The restaurant was HIGHLY recommended by a friend and on TripAdvisor. When we arrived for our dinner reservation, the hostess seemed uninterested. As she showed us to our seats, I noticed that there was a basket of cleaning products at the foot... More

It took us two years to finally eat here, all the while hearing about the small plate (tapas) menu and how exceptionally good the food was. So, was the hype exaggerated? In a word, no! Our dinner was a good as any we've ever had, anywhere and we are now full-fledged fans. Choosing a variety of small plates has long... More

In a lovely location on the reedy river, make reservations as it is packed. The restaurant is most attractive and service is attentive. the smallish menu does have a wide assortment of small plates. I ordered the flank steak that was way too chewy, which is easily fixed with better slicing of an admittedly a tough cut, but I would... More

Great place to enjoy good food and great viewing of the river. I will definitely go back and loved the pomme frites.
