Brand New Chef March 15

Ate on reccomend from a friend. Was concerned about poor reviews and small crowd. Give it a chance - the new chef hired is coming out with a new menu and service was very good. The crab cakes were divine and the lobster macaroni and cheese excellent. The chef will prepare any dish as you like it... read more

Terrible service waited 1.5 hrs for a soda. Food was awful and cold. My wife had to ask what it was when the server brought her meal. Waitstaff was not trained and not knowledgeable about menu or how to take an order

We arrived on a Sat. at 7:30 to an empty restaurant, that should have been our 1st clue to turn around and leave..In the 1st 15 minutes we were served our water and cocktails then after that kinda left alone..we were told there was a big party in the back dining room so??? When our waitress/hostess came back to finally... More

I was one of three tables in the dining room the server was very slow and was having difficulty keeping up with the tables. I was charged 3 separate time on my credit card. The bartender didn't know how to correct the mistakes and told me I would have to wait for the following business day to know what was... More

We unfortunately also had dinner at the Rice Patty in Georgetown SC, Valentine's Day 2015. First, when we ordered drinks our waitress asked us if we knew if the bartender would know how to make them. My husband and I ordered one of their speciality drinks which we had to return. We were informed that that drink is often returned!... More

Had reservations last night (Valentine's Day). Reservations for 7PM, got there at 6:10 to have drinks at the bar. Gave our name and sat and waited at bar. Pleasant dialogue with owner as it was starting out slow. By 6:45 business started to pickup. Folks at bar that came in waited as long as 20 minutes to even put a... More

This review should be rated about 3.68 but not 4, so I had to go with 3. Slow night, 2 other parties. Beautiful space in an old bank. SUMMARY: rock star shrimp and grits. Failures were (1) Salad was attractive but not cut into bite-sized pieces (2) Cafeteria quality salt and pepper complete with obligatory clogging (3) Rolls served after... More

This old bank building converted to a restaurant offers the ambience of yesteryear with the high ceilings, large windows and ever present vault. We ordered the light, smaller entrees, and were pleased with the quality of the food. The portions, as expected, were more modest than the prices. Being the first customers for dinner, service was somewhat slower than expected.

This restaurant has changed hands in the past couple of years and has slipped a little still it is a nice restaurant. Do an excellent job with seafood. Desserts feature homemade ice cream with peppermint and fudge sauce being a must.
