This is your typical Mexican restaurant with somewhat fewer options in combinations than usual. Service is exceptional. It may be the only option in Georgetown for Mexican food but is worth the effort. I'll be back when looking for a decent burrito.

Having grown up in Georgetown, my wife and I are partial to El Cerro. Friendly staff, a good meal for a great price, and the "local's" mexican restaurant. If you are looking for a tourist stop, this it is not. Expect the simple, yet comfortable local feel of the dining area, with a balanced menu of "comfort" mexican food, and... More

It wasn't terrible, but I doubt we would try it again. Service was somewhat slow even though with the late afternoon stop we made on our way to the Grand Strand there wasn't much of a crowd. Despite many open tables we were seated at the one where the air conditioner was dripping down where one of my party was... More

1st I must say I was a little hesitant at first to go to a Mexican restaurant on our first day of vacation in Georgetown. I was thinking seafood, but my wife (from Colombia) wanted something with some Spanish flair on a cool & rainy afternoon. Walked in and not very busy on a Thursday around 2pm, nice decor, traditional... More

I go to El Cerro Grande at least once a month, all times of the day, and have ordered everything from juevos rancheros to taco salad. Everything they make is delicious, attractive and filling. Their salsa and chips are unsurpassed; service attentive and authentic!

Lots of food for the money! HUGE serving of shrimp with cream sauce! Tasty but not the best Mexican food I ever had.

We stopped here for the first time on our way to Charleston, SC from Myrtle Beach. Great food and huge portions. We went back again from Myrtle beach.

The food was rather greasy; however, the portion was huge. The menu selection was quite good as well.

Good chile rellenos and great frozen margaritas. Good prices, as well. I spoke Spanish with the Mexican waiters, who were thrilled, and got to know me. Un restaurante bonito!

I am convinced that you can not get a bad meal here, Food was excellent and a lot of it. Their Grande Rita is just perfect. They have junch specials from 11:30 AM to 3:00 P.M. Service is excellent and attentive. If you go away hungry it is your fault. For you seniors they do not object to sharing.
