We vacation quite a bit in Garden City. Sam's is a very busy place, but cool to visit if you are wanting a quick bite. They deep fry their hot dogs & they are pretty good. Right across the street from the Garden City Pier.

Staying in Garden City, we'd driven by this location every time we ventured in and back out of the area. I had appreciated the slight "gaudiness" of the place figuring it looked like how a diner or dive should of sorts (if that makes sense). They have several food items advertised on the exterior wall and it was one for... More

Mediocre food can taste pretty good when you are hungry at the beach. This was the case. Very mediocre, and clearly they don't have to try hard here, and so they don't. The location is great though. There is no water on tap which is disappointing, so you have to buy a bottle of water instead.

When we stopped in for a late lunch, the place was very busy. Even so, the service was very quick and the employees were friendly. However, our food was just okay. They claimed to be known for their hotdogs, but it seemed very average to us. While we appreciate the convenience of this restaurant's location and the quick and friendly... More

This place is very dirty and unsanitary. Watched the cook handle food with his bare hands. The containers they were keeping food on were dirty and the food looked old. Ordered the pulled pork as I am in the Carolina's. The guy pulls out a huge plastic bucket, scoops or some gray looking slop, puts it in the microwave for... More

Every two years we make the trek to Myrtle and every time have to go to Sam's for Coney's. This is truly one of the old time Coney places in the country. I always stick with the classic footlong with everything. Why mess with a classic. Then off to the arcade next door.

Ate there yesterday on a rainy day. We eat there every year on vacation. The location and atmosphere brings us back likes moths to a flame. We get our vacation corn dogs and screwdrives, then walk across the street to the beach.one year out of 4 we actually got hot corn dogs.Walking in sure enough there were 8 or so precooked... Don't expect anything fancy and you won't be disappointed. Sam's is a hotdog/hamburger place (they serve other stuff too) located across from the Garden City Pier. It is not fancy by any means, and at times can be downright dirty (tables dirty, flies, etc.) Odd as it sounds...that "dirtyness" is part of the "charm" of this place. However, they do... More

We came here for a late lunch after touring Brookgreen Gardens. The service was fine (they try to be snarky I think, but it's in good humor) -- we had a couple of dogs and corn dogs with cheese fries and onion rings. Everything was "ok" but nothing to write home about -- they do have a fried pork chop... More
