If you want a good fried fish platter you can't beat this place. Don't let the long lines at the door scare you, they move very fast! Also if you are planning to eat as a group...all the group needs to be present before you are seated. Also don't plant to have an intimate conversation... it gets quite loud in... More

This place was recommended by the hotel we were staying at. It was busy and noisey, but the food and service was good and the portions were huge for the moderate price. So overall it was good. But not quite our style. My wife and I were by ourselves and traveled 7 hrs, so a nice quiet place with better... More

I have seen a number of reviews rating this restaurant as excellent. I don't get it. Service is good but food is mediocre. Restaurant is very noisy and extremely busy. Long line to get in. This place is a gold mine for the owner. I guess the big attraction is that the portions are enormous and relatively inexpensive. I went... More

Now, I don't normally put folks on blast but tonight was not the night for antics. Just finished a 2 hour crab eatin' marathon at Captain Steve's in Fort Mill, SC. Now I've not been here in at least a year and change so I decided to make a night of it with friends. My group had to leave early... More

It was, indeed, noisy in there...but the food was good. I had a new server training with someone and they both were right on it asking if I needed anything.I even got a new drink before the 1st one was 1/2 gone! The Fisherman's Platter was enormous and I could only eat 1/2 of it, so i brought the other... More

My husband and I love this place... My husband can't resist the whe flounder and my favorite is the scallops! Good is always freshly prepared and not greasy. Portions are huge and service is always on point. Good food, great price and top notch service-- it's always crowded so you know it's good!

I used to live on the hwy 21 side of Fort Mill and went to Capt Steves regularly. Recently my mother in law was in town and asked why we had stopped going.......we couldn't figure it out (proximity, I guess) and I can assure you we wont be letting a year pass again before going back. The food is always... More

Our family eats at Capt. Steve's almost weekly, whether dine-in or take out. The food is always fresh, fast and hot. The portions are very large; even a small order can be made into 2 meals. The menu has a wide variety of seafood and is always cooked to order. The restaurant is almost always busy, but more often than... More

The parking lot was full, so we were expecting a great seafood dinner. We aren't sure what is attracting people to this restaurant, but it is not the seafood. The portions are generous, but the fish was not the freshest. The waiters keep the hushpuppies coming, so if you are a big eater and don't really care about quality, this... More
