This is simply a great place to eat . A short drive off the beaten path and certainly not fancy , ( no cloth napkins here ) but great food at a very reasonable price . The fried seafood is my return visit meal every time . The scallops are outstanding , along with the catfish , flounder , etc... More

We were hungry for fish and decided to give Capain Steve's a try. Even though the parking lot was almost full, we, we were seated immediately. The place is huge and can accommodate many people. The waitress was there immediately taking our order. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. We will definitely go back. Connie

My wife and I have frequented this restaurant for many years and overlooked it's shortcomings because the food was really good and the portions were very generous. Sadly, this has changed over the past couple of years now, and continues to slide in terms of the food quality, and yes, the portions as well. The final straw was this past... More

My wife and I had been searching for a good fried seafood restaurant after retiring and relocating to Fort Mill and Captain Steve's didn't disappoint . We both had the perch and shrimp , and boy were we pleasantly surprised at the portions. Everything was hot and seasoned to perfection with salt and pepper. Service was extremely quick and done... I just love Captain Steve's...or simply "Steve-O's" as it's affectionately known in our circle. My Brother-in-law worked there in HS and it used to be right around the corner from their house on Lake Wylie. That's how we started going there. Probably not going to win any culinary awards, but the portions are huge, the service is great, all the... More

This is probably one of the best "fish camp" type family restaurants I've ever been to anywhere in the country - and I'm fortunate to be only a few miles away. You get a TON of great food for the money. In fact, my wife and I have begun splitting one adult meal because it is too much for us... More

Heard a lot about this restaurant for Hush puppies and volume of food. First time here I had a fried seafood platter, which was good, but I am not a big fan of fried foods. This visit I had grilled Tuna and it was amazing. Family members also had Salmon, Scallops and Steak. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Large amounts of food.... More

We ate at the Monroe Road location a long time ago - it has changed hands and the waitress at this location was quick and blunt " we have nothing to do with that location -- the new owner ruined it -- still has same name". Maybe they should have. This is a typical "fish camp" style restaurant --- wood... More

We went to the restaurant for lunch and found the food to be very good, as was the service. I found the menu to be diversified and the prices were very reasonable. The place was very clean, including the bathroom. The atmosphere was family oriented. If you are in the area this is a good place to eat.

If you like greasy fried seafood, this is the place for you. Everything had the same greasy taste and smell. They get very busy at times and there can be slow service.
