Best seafood in the area

Captain Steve's has been in the Fort Mill area for some time. We have friends that visit and this is where they want to go. Best time to go is at lunch. The portions are smaller and it isn't as crowded. Expect to stand in line if you get there after 4:30 or 5. Good price, great food, and... read more

First of all, if you've looked at the Captain Steve's website you might think that this location has beer and wine, because it's currently splashed all over the front of that site. Unfortunately, it does not. That is another location, even though it is linked to this one. Also, this place is loud. Not normal bar loud, but way too... More

The staff is friendly, prices are cheap, and the service is fast everytime! Oh, the portions are very generous! It reminds me of Something Fishy in Wilmington, NC.

our church bus of 53 arrived at 3:00pm and were shown in and seated immediately. My fried oysters were perfect. The onion rings and and cole slaw was delicious. The hushpuppies were slightly sweet (to my liking) and the sweet ice tea was definitely southern made. A dozen large fried oysters and all the trimmings for $11.95! Great family atmosphere.... More

My wife and I moved to the Rock Hill area about 8 months ago and we have struggled time after time to find a great place to eat. Well we have finally found it! Hands down, the best service, menu and prices in the area. If you love seafood, you have to check this place out! Great portions, fresh salads,... More

I LOVE Captain Steves!!! This is my every Friday spot during lent. The Calabash shrimp and the Salt and Pepper Perch are my favorite! The value here is also the best in town. You will never leave here hungry and there is a good chance you will leave with a box! Small plates will fill up any normal person and... More

Relatively inexpensive, generous, simply- and fairly-rapidly served mostly seafood, leaning toward fried combinations = "fish camp"; look it up, you should see a photo or two of Captain Steve's. Seasoning tends toward bland, or too spicy in some entrees; accompaniments (hushpuppies, baked potato/sweet potato, coleslaw, etc) are also what would be expected--earth not moving under the feet, but also nothing... The line may be long when you get there but it's worth the wait. The prices are reasonable, food is excellent, and it's an overall great experience.

I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there. For locals in the Fort Mill area , yes, it's just good enough. There's usually a wait depending on the number of people dining in your group. Must make sure to verify hours. It's a noisy, you will find large groups celebrating special events.
