Great fish at a great price

The line may be long when you get there but it's worth the wait. The prices are reasonable, food is excellent, and it's an overall great experience.

I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there. For locals in the Fort Mill area , yes, it's just good enough. There's usually a wait depending on the number of people dining in your group. Must make sure to verify hours. It's a noisy, you will find large groups celebrating special events.

I love this place. The food is very good especially the hush puppies. You get a lot of food for the dollar. My wife and I can split a large fish dinner and still have leftovers. They get really busy at times but move people through quickly but never rushed. Lots of fried food but very good.

Everything is fried beyond recognition. The fish was tasteless and greasy. My kids didn't even like the french fries. I know a lot of people like the large portions at this restaurant, and consider it a good deal, but the food is truly bad.

Say what you will about Captain Steve's, the jam-packed parking lot speaks volumes. The service is always good, the selections of seafood are ample and tasty, and the hush puppies are fresh, hot and delicious. Seafood is mostly fried. Ask your server for grilled or broiled. "A little grease will help to keep your coat shiny!" Really good value for... More

First time at Captain Steve's, and it was worth the trip. I enjoyed the succulent scallops, oysters, and shrimp. My husband had a great platter of Greek Style Flounder. The hushpuppies were not the best I have had, but they were okay. The salad was fresh. The prices were reasonable, especially as we had to get a to-go box and... More

So, It was the first time I had been since they have redone the restaurant. I was highly impressed with the new renovations and so ecstatic that the food was as good as I remembered it. The hushpuppies were amazing, I am pretty sure I ate my weight in them. I decided on the pick two entrée, so my choices... More

We are somewhat new to the area and heard great things about Captain Steve's but I can't say we have been impressed. The hush puppies are great, but the fish was just average. On the two occasions we dined there we had broiled fish (different kinds each time) so maybe broiled is just not their specialty. Atmosphere - noisy and... More

Seafood take outs are wonderfully prepared and relatively inexpensive. I always order take outs but the parking lt is always full of cars and there are nights where people are in line waiting to enter.
