A great Mexican restaurant off of the beaten path

The food is fresh and definitely authentic Mexican. The wait staff is friendly and keeps the chips and salsa filled. The portion size is nothing short of gigantic, and there is plenty there for take home for a second meal. The food was hot and delicious. I will definitely be returning to this... read more

The La Poblanita that we ate at is located on Westinghouse Blvd; supposedly they have moved. We drove by their unimpressive building and saw that the parking lot was full at lunch time and decided to give it a try. WOW - real Mexican food prepared by Latinos, and the menu was not like all of the chain-food menus. Great... More

Absolutely the best Mexican food in the Charlotte region and the crazy part is it is ECONOMICAL! I just love taking my kids to Plaza Fiesta just so I can eat here. AUTHENTIC Mexican that you won't get anywhere else! I cannot even pronounce a lot of it but it is awesome! I love their drinks too..fresh pineapple juice and... More

This was our second trip to Rock Hill and we had to go eat here again! The chicken chimichanga is huge, and delicious, enough for two people. My husband got tamales and they were very good. Very clean food court and mall, and restrooms. There is a play place for kids next to it which is awesome, you can let... More

My wife and I went here on a whim while taking a mini-vacation to Carowinds. We arrived in Fort Mill the evening before our big day at the park, and decided to hit something close to our hotel and Mexican. First of all, the photograph showing a Roasting Grill, brick store front is completely misplaced. How the heck it got... More

If you want real Mexican food prepared by latinos then you will love this place. Nothing fancy but the tacos and tortas are delicious.

The pozole is outrageously good and only available Friday evening through Sunday. I love it and stop by whenever I can. I usually get pozole to go and eat tacos there. The tacos are so excellent, no cheese or lettuce or anything else to get in the way, just very authentic with onions, cilantro and lime to squeeze on top... More

Tucked behind the kids' slide and play area in Plaza Fiesta is a wonderfully authentic Mexican restaurant. This is not typical Americanized food. This is what you will find in Mexico. Order food from the counter and wait for your number to be called (it might be in Spanish so pay attention.) We started out by trying the tamale stuffed... More

Advertised as food with a Latin touch, the roasted chicken is excellent, and "green sauce" that comes with it is very tasty. Really good plantains and yucca as well as American side dishes (coleslaw, mac and cheese, fries, green beans). The Cuban sandwich is one of the best I've ever had! Beer and wine are available, as well as some... More
