Food very good & plenty of it. The view of the ocean is magnificant. Be careful of the local birds who try to finish your french fries before you do.

We ate at Locklears several times during our trip to Folly Beach. They serve a variety of dishes in addition to the usual fried seafood at reasonable prices.
Had a group of eight friends and college classmates who wanted to get together for dinner, seafood and a chance to talk. I must admit, our first choice was Bowen's restaurant however there must have been 200to 300 people in a long line waiting to get into Bowen's restaurant. We were all frustrated, and so we looked for a second... More
Went for lunch alone. There was a party of thirty women celebrating a birthday so the spotty service was to expected. I had my go to fried shrimp. It was lightly breaded and well prepared. The french fries were of the frozen variety but good. Both the shrimp and fries were ample servings. The hush puppys had way to much... More
Stopped after exploring the pier. Great ocean view, shared shrimp and grits with my fiance. Large portion ! And taste was amazing. The fritter had a sauce that buts the yum in yumming. If it was not pour g rain we d sit out side and listen to the waves. You can fish at the pier , explore and beach... More
I think if we had visited this place in warmer months and were seated outside on the deck, the experience would have been much better. Let's face it, the setting is very important. My burger was actually very good and the Key Lime pie was decent, but the inside of the restaurant was very dirty. It needs a deep cleaning!... More
Locklear's is located right on the beach. It's a nice location. I had a tuna burger and my partner had a hamburger. Both were average. I'd eaten there about two years ago and remember the food being better. On the down side, the restaurant needs a good cleaning.
stroll in and enjoy the beach vibe. love the king crab and shrimp. she crab soup is great. full bar and views of the Atlantic ocean. parking is free in the off season
Really, the only good thing about Locklears is the location, which is on the Pier. You literally look at the ocean the entire time and that is amazing. The waitresses are also friendly, but it's way too expensive for the food quality and the beauty of the actual restaurant. The tables and chairs were plastic and there were hardly any... More
Went here for a Friday afternoon lunch. This place is right on the beach at the Folly Beach Pier. Our waitress, Jessie P, was fantastic. Attentive and pleasant. The food was excellent, ample portions and delicious. Prices were exceedingly reasonable- about the same as a franchise restaurant but much tastier! You basically can't beat the view as you're looking out... More
