Refreshing Menu & Nice Staff

Nice open air restaurant. The menu offers different entrees not found at every other seafood restaurant so that was refreshing. The Hungry Detective stopped by for some She Crab soup for my wife on the way back to James Island from Folly Beach. Let me tell you about the She Crab soup...The best of the best on the island. My wife was doing cartwheels in the kitchen when she had her first spoon and wanted me to go back for... More

We happened to visit Folly Beach the day of their Christmas parade. The manager told us that two of the servers were stuck in traffic. We suspect the bar tender was not onsite either. I could taste no rum in my mojita and my husband's bloody mary was weak. Salads were so-so.

We were married on the beach at Folly Beach in November. It is easy walking distance from the Tides hotel, and the restaurant had been recommended by a friend. The staff and owner/manager at The Grill and Island Bar were great to us! We ate at the restaurant several times that week. The She Crab soup is fantastic! We had... More

We were in the mood for something different and this breakfast was fabulous. My breakfast platter had 2 eggs, bacon AND sausage, grits, breakfast potatoes and a... More

Had flounder and shrimp platter. Large portion of flounder and 5 shrimp. Both were average. Collards were tasty, maybe a little salty. Corn and black bean relish uninspired. No hush puppies or bread. Service was friendly.
