Fun for a lazy night...

My boyfriend and I consider this a fun spot to eat for wings and atmosphere. (You can't get much atmosphere in Florence.) To start with, get the naked wings. They're simple, flavorful. Probably best thing they have on the menu. Wash it down with a Leroy Brown or three. (Also, in my opinion, the... read more

Overall a good spot, they had a live band when my friends & I stopped by. Good beer selection to choose from. The service was okay, nothing special, not overly attentive. Food is pricey. Nothing they have is fried, everything is grilled or baked which means no fries, onion rings, etc. We were told they "ran out of" multiple items... More

Had a Saturday lunch get together with a group of geocaching friends. The weather was perfect for the patio. Service was excellent. I ordered ice tea and a patty melt with slaw. The burger was cooked just right and was large and delicious. The cole slaw was just ok. I prefer the more traditional version. All and all it was... More

My wife, son and I went while driving through and tried the lager and red beer. They were both average, not sure if we had the end of the keg or not. The food was good though. We got a pizza, wings and salad and the food was good.

Southern hops is a nice little microbrewery in Florence that also is a restaurant and bar. I am a big fan of the beer they brew but they also offer a huge variety of other beer and a full bar. The food is great (their baked wings rock!). They use local ingredients and nothing is fried in their kitchen (a... More

Great food all around. .. awesome IPA beer... even better they allow dogs, and bring a nice bowl of cool water out to your dog. What a great place to stop.

The owner at Southern Hops does not believe in fryers. As a past restauranter myself I can completely understand the mess and hassle it can create a kitchen. However, the menu is nowhere near boring. The sides are all homemade and authentic. You have to try their pretzels. Of course- I would be remiss if I did not comment on... More

I recently decided to stop into this place after many halfway gas ups between Virginia Beach and Jacksonville, FL. I made sure to read a few reviews before heeding into this place and my review started out with 3 stars just as with every place i visit. After walking in and deciding to sit up at the bar it was...
