Great spot for breakfast!

We stopped for breakfast around 9:30 in the morning. July temperatures were great for outdoor eating. This restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The breakfast menu has plenty of options. One tip: don't order water. Edisto water is awful. The coffee however, was fantastic. Our waitress... read more

This was our first time to edisto beach and we had no idea where to eat. We chose Sea Cow Eatery. First glance you wouldn't think it would be good but I was way off. The food was full of flavor and the seafood was so fresh. The kids really enjoyed their fried shrimp and flounder. I had the country... More

We went for lunch today with our 2 kids. The service was quick and friendly. My kids had chicken tenders and grilled cheese. My husband and I each ordered the fried seafood combo. One with shrimp and oysters and the other with scallops and flounder. We shared and everything was great. Good portions. We all left full and happy. We... More

My family and I love breakfast at the sea cow. My favorite dish is the stone ground grits. They are out of this world! I have only eaten here for breakfast several times, but each time the staff have been friendly and we are served quickly. I highly recommend.

Servers are very friendly and politics. Food is very-very average - from soup of clam chowder to mahi-mahi on the beds of shredded greens (explain me: what for you shred it?) with shrimps, scallops and flounders in between. Huge negative feel - inside is horrible smell of hot humid air, over boiled oil and food. Outside is much better (no... More

The staff was quite friendly and everyone was doing their best to ensure that everyone waiting was served. My clam chowder was so thick that you could stick a spoon straight up in it, also I didn't taste any clams, mostly bacon. The fried calamari was tasty with good sauces as were the fried scallops, just a bit dried out... More

The Fried flounder is the best. The desserts change each day and are very satisfying. Server was very friendly. It's very casual and surrounded by a unique little shopping area.

Good food and friendly staff. We enjoyed seafood here. We especially liked the side of grits and greens!

Extremely fresh shrimp. You can tell that everything here is made from scratch. Not even one of the five of us was disappointed. I had the shrimp po boy, my daughter had peel and eat, and grandma has shrimp salad. Best shrimp to date.not to mention that the service was extremely friendly! We have all said we will go back.

Go early....we got there at 5 and got a table immediately (9 of us) and it filled up and had lines by 5:30. Grits are superb, salads a must, crab cakes great, hamburgers wonderful. Staff was courteous, fast, and enjoyable! A great local restaurant! The pie selections are to die for.....I'm going back for more tomorrow! :)
