We went as a family to eat dinner... The food tasted good and the service was acceptable. Portions were very generous. Overall a great place and a great experience. It was a little pricey ($100+) for basic fare but hey... we are at the beach... On vacation. As far as Edisto goes... One of the standouts. I would definitely go... More

The Sea Cow was very very good. I had the grilled shrimp omelet with home fries and it was awesome. They added spinach to it (which I didn't order) so I picked that out but otherwise the food was excellent. The service was a little slow. I would've expected them to be faster with only two tables to wait on.

Decent food. Terrible service. After we placed our order and our drinks were brought we were told we needed to be moved to another table because a group of 6 needed our table. Guess their money was better than ours. I was not happy. After we were moved and food was finally brought we were never offered refills or even... More

I'm a Southerner and love my grits, but the Sea Cow has the best grits I've ever eaten. If you've never had them before, these would be a great introduction to this Southern staple. The omelets are amazing as well. I also love their Shrimp Po Boys and I'm generally addicted to them since living in New Orleans! Everything I've... More

Went for supper on Sunday night. Small place and tables were full. Waited to be seated and that was fine. Server greeted us promptly and brought drinks and that was fine. Took our orders, and we waited and waited and waited and waited close to 45 minutes for two orders of fried shrimp and one order of the nightly special,... More

We chose to dine here our first night of our vacation. The food was good but the portion sizes where less than average which is disappointing when you are on the coast. Service was ok, server never came back to check on us until the end of our meal. Can't say we'll be back. If you order any of the... More

Everyone liked their meals, but you know your cob salad is good when your kids are stealing off your plate. Decent prices for the beach. Could use another bathroom, but oh well.

Very "homey" place to eat, very busy early on, nice people, food okay but not what "mamma" makes, eating outside on the covered porch on a rainy morning very memorable

We ate here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There was nothing we ordered that wasn't very good. Breakfast get the grits...with anything. Wife loved the French toast. Lunch was sea cow shrimp, BBQ was great. Dinner any seafood combo and the corn chowder was very good. Service was good.

We stopped in here for dinner after a day of exploring Edisto, and I was happy we did. You get the "family run" vibe, and I dig it. The menu is mostly seafood, but there are certainly options for the non-seafood eaters like myself. I ordered a cheeseburger, and was a little surprised when it came with two fairly large... More
