Although it has moved from its location down the road, the quality remains the same and the seating is expanded. This is a must stop (and sometimes twice) when visiting Edisto Island.

If you are looking for fine dining with candle light, then you don't know BBQ. This is real southern home style BBQ. I recommend the buffet which has just about anything you could want with your BBQ pork. Don't forget their awesome caramel cake or banana pudding to finish off your meal. Been there multiple times and it gets better... More

Stopped in here with a party of 10. We were greeted by the super friendly staff and seated immediately. I chose to go with their BBQ buffet. The pulled pork was good as were the baked beans. Their gumbo is really good. I'm a huge fan of sweet tea and theirs was pretty good. I can't say enough about the... More

There is good BBQ, and there is not so good. After over 25 years in the South, we have had both. The quality of the pork was very good, not greasy and stringy, and had good flavor. You can add from a variety of sauces. Slaw was good, chopped coarsely, which adds a lot of texture to the BBQ, if... More

We ate there last night for the first time and it was great! I was a little concerned about what to expect after reading some of the other reviews, but my family and I found the place to be very charming! They offer menu items as well as a buffett but one look at the buffett and all 4 of... More

This is good ole low country BBQ. If you dine in come with the mindset that it is an indoor picnic otherwise the foam cups and plates will turn you off. The food however will turn you on. The pulled pork and turkey were savory and fell apart in your mouth. The fired chicken was some of the best I... More

We did it for take out dinner when we rented a beach house lat week. $70 fed 8 people with left overs. I'm kind of picky about BBQ and i thought it was very good.

No A/C? It would have been cooler outside. We had to swat flies as we attempted to eat the slop. The rice was crunchy. The mac and cheese was burnt, noodles were crunchy. Casseroles and vegetables were over cooked, no seasoning. These dishes were scraped clean and piled on top of any fresh food put on the bar. Everything seemed... More

I live in Hollywood, SC and had enjoyed Po Pigs for many years at their old location. The food was always good and some nights were better than others. We drove out to Edisto (Edislow for all the native folks) on 7/9/14 to try out their new place. As my title stated, what a big disappointment! Nothing on the buffet... More
