Fun atmosphere, great food!

Went with out two small kids and enjoyed it! We are outside, which was relaxing and nice. Food was superb! My husband had the peel-and-eat shrimp which he said were some of the best. I enjoyed the chicken wings. They were good, but only allowed one flavor per order. It would have been nice to mix... read more

We thought we would try this place one night since we ready that it was voted a top 25 seafood dive in Coastal Living magazine. The food and service was ok. I would go back again if I didn't feel like cooking, but there are better options on the island.

We decided to eat here because my wife thinks places like this are really cool - it's an old gas station that has been converted into a restaurant. It was a good choice. It's not that big of a place, and very casual, but we had some really great food here! We were hungry, so we ordered an appetizer -... More

We were guests at the Wyndham and Whaley's came highly recommended . We drove right over and sat down for dinner. We ordered a flounder dinner to share and I added fried oysters. Instead of French fries we asked for "veggies". The flounder was lightly breaded, and had good flavor but it was a bit greasy. The oysters were under-cooked... More

Our party of 12 enjoyed lunch here after a morning of golfing. Drinks were great from the bar. I would order again the Big Salad topped with fried oysters and house vinaigrette. Others in our party would recommend the prime rib sandwich, boiled peanuts and asian tuna nachos for appetizers.

Nothing overly exciting, typical local place. The service was so-so. We felt that we were an inconvenience to the bar tender from the time we arrived until the time he started breaking down the bar, well over an hour prior to closing. The food was OK, we ordered the stuffed shrimp, not much flavor and the shrimp and crab soup... More

Food was good and quick. Simple and comfortable. No pretense here. Just good food ...no notable beer on tap but a good clean place for basic and creative food.. Waitstaff were great.

Great atmosphere. An old gas station turned restaurant. Prime rib sandwich is great. Flounder received great reviews. Definitely a must do in Edisto.

We spent the afternoon walking, the beach and decided to try whaleys for dinner. Glad we did. My husband wanted a boil pot and theirs did not disappoint. He was a happy camper. I got the scallops. Could have gotten them broiled and been "good" but, and the very friendly waiter agreed, I am on vacation and we had just walked... More
