Delicious Grits!

I like this place b/c it's very different from the other Edisto restaurants. As a younger person I wouldn't call it a happening date night place but for the older generations would find it quite quaint and cozy. I'm not familiar with this kind of old south comfort food but it was great. They made... read more

We had 3 families (a total of 15) of all adults ages 22-60. Everyone's food was great. Our Crew ordered everything from Seafood to Steaks to Chicken. I personally had the blueberry Chicken dish which was great. The entrees were between $23 and $30 which i think was very reasonable for a high quality dinner. Most all meats came with... More

We have dined here at least once annually for about 15 years. Originally wonderful. Now mediocre. Few selections of entrees. All overpriced. No choice of side dishes; grits and beans for everyone. Everything heavily sauced. Not accommodating for children or those with food allergies/intolerances. Shrimp overcooked. Ribeye below average. We felt really rushed by server and assistant at out 6... The menu was limited in my opinion. The place was a little upscale for our beach taste. The food was prepared fine and was good, though. They made an effort to accommodate our picky eater children.

The food here was completely average, but because they have a lock on the decent restaurant business on Edisto Island, they think they are all that. There were some of the niceties you would expect at these prices, such as the guy who came around to refill your water glass all the time. Except he actually didn't. They have policies... More

Dined here once a year for the past few years, always a pleasant experience. They are very willing to accommodate dietary restrictions such as vegans and vegetarians, and always produce excellent food. Love it here!

The Old Post Office is amazing for a more romantic setting on Edisto. They have a wonderful menu. Most of the table got one of the many specials and we're not disappointed! Reservations are recommended as this place can get busy in season!

A very nice salad, awesome shrimp and a chocolate pecan fudge pie to die for! The fish and scallops were disappointing making the whole meal not worth the price.

Kevin W Thanks for driving down from Charleston! Happy to read that you enjoyed the salad, awesome shrimp and a chocolate pecan fudge pie. Surprised that the Seafood Trio did not satisfy you as it is a popular item on our specials menu. Should you ever visit again I'd suggest not splitting an entree but rather ordering an entire entree... More

Took the family and had a wonderful meal. Everyone had some kind of steak - all delicious. Generous portions. Awesome cheese grits and desserts. Most expensive place on the island but a nice treat. A nice tradition.

I dine hear occasionally when friends visit me in the island and I've never been disappointed. We started with the smoked salmon. Not to be confused with what you see in the supermarket, this is a pice of fresh salmon that has been smoked and it was perfectly prepared. We each ordered one of the daily specials and we were...
