Certainly among the best value sushi restaurant that I've ever been to!

I am a frequent traveler and I am a foodie. Everywhere I go, I try out different restaurants. When many other locals recommended this sushi place, I was a bit suspicious as I always associated food in Columbia with southern food, e.g. BBQ. I sure was thankful that I gave this restaurant a try... read more

Good lunch. Squid overcooked. Sushi good. Rice a little mushy, but okay. Miso good. Iced green tea great.

Quality has started going down after this Wanatabe Inakaya has split from the original Inakaya. We frequented this place for 8 years every week at least once for lunch and dinner every month. The quality is down, still too crowded though (people are mixing this with the original one, I figured). I wished that the owner (the Sushi Chef) could... More

The restaurant atmosphere is pleasant and the service was polite and prompt. The sushi was not rolled tightly enough and fell apart when I picked it up. The sashimi was cut in irregularly shaped pieces of various sizes. The lack of uniformity was visually unappealing. Several of the pieces had strings of tough tissue running through them that made them... More

This is one of the best authentic Japanese Restaurants I have been to. The fish is very fresh and great quality. I have eaten here several times.

The sushi here at one time was as good as anywhere. Over the last few years it was slipped. In a recent visit I have noticed the portions have got smaller and the freshness is not what it use to be. Its ok sushi but not worth going out of the way for. I have noticed a frequent turn over... More

Ok, to be fair, this is the only sushi I've had in Columbia but I'm pretty sure it's better than them all. Whether I dine in at that sushi bar or order for pick up the service is always fast and the food never disappoints. My favorite so far is the Happy Roll and the shrimp shumai.

i tried Inakaya based on other TripAdvisor reviews. The restaurant is in an unassuming plaza but is a must try. The sushi was very good; my favorite was the Gamecock roll! The service was outstanding.

I had the small seaweed salad, gorilla roll which was 10 pieces but small pieces like they were smaller than my California roll. It was a lot of seaweed salad for a small as my friend and I shared it. It was like the right amount of seaweed salad a couple of soonfulls each.I also tried the sake sampler which... More
