Great American version of Japanese food

Americans do some pretty weird stuff to sushi but this place was tasty, friendly and had a great range of options. Ate here twice and loved the atmosphere. The waitress put me at the sushi bar (as a woman travelling alone) and chatted to me all night which I appreciated. Definitely worth a visit.

We arrived near closing time so there weren't that many people there but we enjoyed our meal. Sushi was good with an average selection. mostly tuna, salmon and crab. Good service.

Ordered lettuce wraps. They do not come with much lettuce and no rice. Portions are small and not particularly flavorful. I am going to have to say there are two reasons this restaurant is still around: location and college town atmosphere (alcohol). Do not go here if good food is what you seek. Not a place for families.

I am not a big fan of their hibachi plate, but to each their own. I do enjoy some of their sushi and its a fun place to dine at during a night out.

Annual trip to Columbia where we took assorted cousins to dinner at this live, boisterous sushi restaurant just off Gervais Street in trendy restaurant district. Six people for $200 including drinks and tip. Good sushi - we got the large "boat" - good variety. Also a half dozen appetizers, beer, wine and a soft drink. Recent Clemson grad waitress with... I love sushi. I could eat it every day, for every meal, until I die. This goes doubly so for my boyfriend. For his birthday, I decided to sign us up for the Sushi 101 class that is done and hosted by Saki Tumi (yes. Did you know that? They do a Sushi 101 class. Isn't that amazingly cool?). I... More

50 cent sushi pieces on Thursday nights makes this a must. Their spicy tuna may be the best spicy tuna roll I've ever had. The philly roll is great. Their specialty rolls can be a tad on the sweet side but are always fresh and delicious. The beer and wine selection is more than adequate. The atmosphere is fresher and... More

When you go, make sure you go on a Wednesday. Especially, if it is your first time trying it. They have 3 rolls half off as well as all their specialty drinks. I had the Sin drink which was a jalpeno martini almost. It was really good and then the sushi took sometime to come out but that was because... More

Sat at bat since I was solo on a Thursday when they had .50 pieces. Sushi was fresh and great. Service was spot on and didn't feel weird being a solo. Was at USC for orientation and had last night in hotel by myself. Glad I went out instead of sitting in my room at the Hyatt.

Had been here years ago but absolutely stunned at the sushi and flavors. Edamame - ask for the Sriracha mixed with sweet Thai chili sauce - not on menu Tunacado salad - absolutely the best tuna I have had in the Southeast - ask for ponzu sauce or add soy sauce Naked roll Sashimi tuna sampler - flavors are unique...
