Food and service were excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. First time here if we return to Columbia definitely will make another visit or two.

The service was OK but not great. Service was generally slow. The crab cake appetizer was not hot, the east was just average. The fried green tamatoes were sverage. The shrimp and grits special was short on shrimp and lacking in much sausage. Disappointing. Another meal was also dusappointing. The salmon was good.

My cousin suggested we try Blue Marlin while I was in Columbia visiting. We made dinner reservations, arrived about 10 minutes early and were seated without a problem. We were seated in a large booth with a great view of the entire restaurant. The atmosphere is cool, comfy and casual. Our waitress , Erica was friendly and efficient without being... More

I went for lunch with couple of my colleagues. Ordered Blackened Salmon Charleston and green collards...they both tasted very good. You get a Grits, Collards with the salmon. The service was excellent. It would be better if you have made a reservation.I would come back again

The menu was classic Southern seafood with crab cakes and shrimp grits being popular choices. The atmosphere is upscale, but not stuffy. You could eat in a sports coat or shorts! The bar area is a nice place to grab a quick bite if you are solo.

We go to Blue Marlin frequently as we live nearby. Usually, it is a wonderful meal. Our last visit was very disappointing. The she crab soup was excellent, but my salad was awful. Half of it was inedible. The "greens" were mostly white - the part of lettuce I never eat. It just wasn't fresh. I will go back and... More

We went when USC was checking in so don't know if that was why it was particularly busy. We waited over an hour at 7:30. Everyone loved their food but I was disappointed. I ordered the crab cakes, took one bite and didn't like them - too much filler. I was thinking of Chesapeake Bay style and definitely wasn't. They... More

The food and service was great. We enjoyed all of the food. I especially enjoyed the crab cake entree. The Cream Brulee Cheesecake dessert was to die for... Yum! We recommend the Blue Marlin!

We sat outside. What a pleasant atmosphere. Such a revitalizing experience. We had shrimp and grits and fried green tomatoes. Wow! Will return often.
