Description: Located in the historic Congaree Vista with a heated patio and free valet...
Located in the historic Congaree Vista with a heated patio and free valet parking, Motor Supply has been serving progressive, New World cuisine using classic French culinary techniques for over 20 years. Led by Executive Chef Wesley Fulmer, the kitchen's lunch, dinner and brunch handwritten menus change daily, featuring contemporary New American cuisine, with nods to Creole, Cajun, New Southern, French, Italian and Asian cuisine. We are Columbia's foremost "farm to fork" restaurant, working with local, sustainable farms for produce, meats, SC seafood and more. Seafood is caught off of the Carolina coast, and all of our stocks, sauces and desserts are made on site, including our charcuterie, with house-made sausages, bacon, country pate, and rillettes, all the way down to the pickles and mustard. Our early 19th century, solid-oak bar with marble columns, imported from Europe, serves 180+ fine wines (Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence, 2006-12), an extensive list of imported, domestic and local craft beers, as well as an artisan farm-to-shaker cocktail list made from house-infused liquors, handmade bitters, barrel-aged spirits and locally-sourced ingredients and garnishes.

refreshing atmosphere, service, and food!

the 1st place I've ever been where the menu is handwritten and changes daily. really really cool. it's nice to know that there are still charming, adorable little restaurants with great food and great service. we truly enjoyed our time at Motor Supply and can't wait to go back!

Loved it all! Great wine, seared tuna appetizer, beet salad, flat iron steak, and strawberry shortcake dessert!

Had Sunday Brunch here with a group of friends for a surprise wedding brunch. It was our first time here. Our server was great! very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing. Everything that came out was cooked to perfection! I had the Smoked Salmon Plate. First off the salmon is smoked in house and it was a filet of... More

The atmosphere of the restored building, the locally sourced ingredients and the handwritten menu that varies daily makes this a unique and enjoyable dining experience. And most of all the presentation and taste of the food was incredible. My daughter and son-in-law loved their duck, my wife's steak was tender with great flavor and I had the best pork chop... More

Enjoyed this resaurant very much, a small and friendly place on Gervais Street in Collumbia. Had the clams and some fried oyster salad very good. Main course of duck breast over the best mashed sweet potatoes ever! Recommend this place very much.

We are visiting colleges, so a friend at University of South Carolina suggested this as a favorite. She was right! The menu is a bit intimidating with few "safe" favorites. Each meal was delicious, There was something for everyone

Stopped in later in the night on Saturday. Immediately sat and taken care of. Our waitress was funny and knowledgeable! Fish was great, charcuterie included duck prosciutto. Amazing. Buddy had the quail and loved it. Go!

Saturday was disappointing. We were told this is a newer Vista hotspot. So we made reservations and drove an hour to Columbia. We arrived 40 min early and were told by the hostesses we could wait at the bar for a table to be set, it would not be long...WRONG. We went to the bar and were ignored by the... More

We at here on a Friday night during the NCAA Women's basketball tournament so it was hard to get a table. It is in an old building with the associated challenges (space, small restrooms). The service was very good. The menu was diverse but not expansive. The food was okay and the portion size was appropriate. It is definitely more... More

Motor Supply is the best restaurant in Columbia. Kind of a farm to table meets French Bistro. Great food, great drinks, great staff. The menu changes every day so there is always something new when you go.
