Description: Located in the historic Congaree Vista with a heated patio and free valet parking, Motor Supply has been serving progressive, New World cuisine using classic French culinary techniques for over 20 years. Led by Executive Chef Wesley Fulmer, the kitchen's lunch, dinner and brunch handwritten menus change daily, featuring contemporary New American cuisine, with nods to Creole, Cajun, New Southern, French, Italian and Asian cuisine. We are Columbia's foremost "farm to fork" restaurant, working with local, sustainable farms for produce, meats, SC seafood and more. Seafood is caught off of the Carolina coast, and all of our stocks, sauces and desserts are made on site, including our charcuterie, with house-made sausages, bacon, country pate, and rillettes, all the way down to the pickles and mustard. Our early 19th century, solid-oak bar with marble columns, imported from Europe, serves 180+ fine wines (Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence, 2006-12), an extensive list of imported, domestic and local craft beers, as well as an artisan farm-to-shaker cocktail list made from house-infused liquors, handmade bitters, barrel-aged spirits and locally-sourced ingredients and garnishes.

Our second visit for dinner was just as good as our first with all the reasons we returned ... friendly atmosphere, helpful wait staff, delicious farm to table selections - new choices every time, well stocked bar. Relatively small venue so recommend reservations.

Found this little gem while in Columbia for the night. The menu changes daily and consists of quality, local ingredients. House made Charcuterie. Cocktail list also changes daily and is seasonal. I was so impressed. Will definitely return!!

This was recommended to me by the Hilton front desk staff. When I asked what was good in the area, all it took for me to want to go was when the concierge told me they change their menu twice ever day so they can offer the freshest food around. Very cool atmosphere, the staff was extremely attentive and I... More

Motor Supply Co. represented the best of the Vista before the Vista even WAS the Vista. As a long-term Columbia implant, I have visited this restaurant many times. It never changes because it is always excellent. The hand-written menu changes daily, with the chef using a lot of imagination with fresh, local ingredients. The choices are limited compared to some... More

I visit Columbia a couple of times per year, but somehow missed this gem, which is on Gervais in the Vista area, right in the midst of other excellent dining spots. The menu isn't too long, maybe a dozen entrees, but you will have trouble deciding between excellent choices. The hand-written menu changes daily. I was there for dinner. Entrees... More

I came to Columbia to visit my daughter and go see the Joe Banamassa concert. I immediately went to my favorite local spot for great food and drinks. It was exceptional again and very happy I went. My daughter and I shared everything. We had the salad with blackberries and some excellent cheese. For our appetizer, we had the fried... More

First time here and food was about what I expected. It was early in the evening, so not a large crowd, so food was quick in coming out. Chain style pub food. Priced accordingly but the experience was prejudiced by our waitress. While she was friendly and helpful, we smelled her coming 10 feet away by the overpowering smell of... More

My go to place! Never had a bad meal. Chef is constantly striving to serve the best local farm to table offerings with unique flair. Wonderful beer selection, great bourbon. Great staff that really know the dishes and are able to guide you through choices. Menu changes frequently based on what's in season. Always something new to try!!! Small, intimate,... More

I have been going here since they first opened up, I use to go more when I was working in town but still love to go when I'm in town and it remains one of my favorite restaurants! The food is wonderful! I have never had any regrets on any choice I made!

Been awhile but we went for brunch on a rainy Sunday and it was awesome. Service was good ( this can be hit or miss) and the food was outstanding (as always). Won't wait so long to go back.
