Old building that has been remodeled and still has a rustic feel. The food is mostly very upscale bar food but very good. Has its own brewery so lots of different brews if that is your thing. Tough to get a table as they didn't have a hostess when I was there so get there early or be prepared to... More

The Hunter-Gatherer has a very nice atmosphere, a very tasty craft beer selection, and a menu that you can actually read through in a short time. My specialty pizza was absolutely delicious, which was very welcome because of the small size and not-so-small price. The same can be said about our dessert cake. There are a few outside tables----for the... More

Neat little spot. Very old feel to it. The waiter told us it was an old firehouse. Had a pale ale which was fantastic. Ordered the cheeseburger and wow! One of the best cheeseburgers I have ever had! Appetizer of the squashed sausage biscuits was delicious also! I would definitely go back!

It's a good looking place outside and in. The food was good, not great. My husband and daughters enjoyed the brewed offerings. It was busy but not crazy on a recent Friday afternoon. Our server made it plain that he was annoyed at having to serve us. He was rushed, brusque and did not entertain questions gladly. Might try again,... More

This is a unique, local place right by USC's campus. Their home brews are great, the atmosphere is cozy, and they have jazz one night a week. I wasn't every super impressed by the food, but it wasn't bad, just the beer and atmosphere surpassed it. Definitely should check this out!

Great atmosphere within eyesight of the state capital building. They have a large selection of specials that are a bit pricey but also a good pizza/burger/sandwich menu that is mostly under $10 dollars. We went with a hummus appetizer (huge) and gyros which were very good. They had 4 delicious home brews on the menu. The staff was friendly. The... More

The beers samples first: the wheat was excellent, the pale ale was pretty good, the ESA was extra bitter and not my style, and the porter had little too much after taste of dark black licorice with tar. The Angus burger on chabatta bread was great - fresh bread, red onions and fresh Angus beef. I enjoyed it. Atmosphere was... More

While the entree selection was excellent, we went for the salad and pizza. They also have a good selection of beer. My husband had a Pale Ale and liked it. We had a pizza. The price reflects it is a small personal size. We had The Iberian pizza and the cheese was great with proscuttio. It was flavorful. You do... More

It's a great place to stop and get a beer and a snack or meal if you're visiting USC or the Statehouse because it's within walking distance of both! The beer is amazing and their food is even better! Definitely a place you should stop and try!

Seeking refuge from the monsoon also known as the Gamecocks/UGA game on September 13, we stopped in this delightful little brewpub, nestled on a corner location in downtown. They have a small selection of freshly brewed beer - we tried the Pale Ale, which was excellent. As an appetizer, we went for the hummus platter, which was excellent. The rest... More
